Fits perfectly for my son, 9 years old

My kids swim three days a week and regularly need to replace their swimsuits. We’ve been wearing a different brand that comes fully lined. Before that we had another brand that was only lined in front. That’s how this Arena Carnival is as well. While I don’t personally wear these jammers, I feel like the partially lined jammers aren’t as nice. The outer shell is a good quality thickness and I expect it to hold up well.Unfortunately for us, I used the size chart listed on Amazon. I also checked Arena website to get the correct sizing. While the size 28 waist was correct for waist and height, my kid said the thighs were a bit tight. Since there is a drawstring to tighten the waist I wish I had gone one size bigger. Maybe they will loosen up after a couple of swims.

I received the Arena Boys Carnival Swim Jammer in navy blue in size 30, which is equivalent to size 14-16. After reading the reviews, I decided to order two sizes up on these swim jammers. I have a large 9 year old that weighs 75 lbs. I could have probably ordered the size 28 and they would have fit, but I would rather have swim jammers too large than too small. There is a drawstring, so I knew at the very least they may feel loose but they wouldn’t fall down! Well, thank goodness I ordered the size 30. They are slightly loose in the thigh and waist, but don’t look too big by any means and they are comfortable for my child! He hates things too tight, so I’m lucky that they fit well now and he may even be able to wear these for a couple of years. The quality is top notch and I love the leg length. The multicolor designs on the sides compliment the navy blue jammers very well. My son really likes them and this is his first pair of jammers. These are going to be great for upcoming swim lessons. Nothing worse than trying to swim lanes with lots of loose fabric on your swim trunks. These jammers solve that problem. Highly recommended!

My son swims 6 days a week - 2 hours day as a part of local swim team. So we end up going through minimum of few swimsuits a year. We've tried all kinds of brands and at the end of it all, Arena and TYR are one of the best ones. This Arena swimsuits are great. They fit well, the colorful triangular patterns on the side makes it easy to find them in a crowded pool, it's easy to put on/take off, and they hold up really well. This is a first time we are trying their new "Maxlife" line though - so we'll have to see if these hold up better than the other Areans and TYRs that we have.
