Excellent protection for heat sensitive medicine
This is my third purchase of FRIO cases. The individual cooling wallet is perfect for protecting insulin pens in a discrete easy to use pouch. I got one in black, but it's easier to see and find a brighter color when you want your insulin. These are not freezer packs, and they are effective for days at a time. You must allow the moist case to breath so they can keep your meds cool. Putting them in a plastic bag defeats their cooling effectiveness. They are slightly moist, but not wet to the touch, so don't leave these on your wooden furniture if you don't like water rings. If they dry out, then they stop cooling. Easy to soak in water for their next or continuous use.

It works!
I was skeptical this was going to work. This was a single pen test run because I’m going on a bigger trip in January and I have to pack light. It has been 48 hours and this pack is still cool. I made sure to pat it dry after letting the water absorb and went through TSA with no flags. I did not tell them this was in my carry-on. I got the bigger one for my longer trip in January and it’s much easier to use than my metal medical cooler.

It really works.
I purchased this to carry an automatic medication syringe that had to be kept cool while traveling. It really works well as long as you follow the instructions. I gave it a 4 because it will only hold one pen, although it looks as though it would hold two. The company does make a larger one that will hold several syringes. It easily lasted 48 hours and was not messy at all,

These things work marvellously!!!
i got these for my mom, who is a diabetic type 2 patient, for a one month trip to Europe, as you never know where you can have a fridge available to store the insulin, and they simply worked really great. That was one year ago, and those still work. You only have to submerge under cold water for 8 minutes, remove and dry exterior water and they are ready to go! We tested and they kept stable low temperatures up to 24 hours, I think in the instructions it says something up to 36 hours, but 24 is plenty of time to find a proper refrigerator for any trip within the civilized world. The use directions are very simple, and my mom now is able to prepare the pouches by herself. Really recommended. I got 4 units, to have two backups for glargine and gluisine insuline pencils.

Frio Cooling Wallet
I bought the Individual size cooling wallet and used it when I traveled from Chicago to Spain. I think the wallet kept my insulin cool for 20 hours although the insulin did not feel cold when I took it out of the case and refrigerated it. My insulin work well when I used it, so the Frio wallet worked to keep my insulin fresh.

Best thing ever to travel with as a diabetic
I bought this because I was so afraid for my insulin to be out of the fridge to travel 2,000 miles by airplane and to spend all day in my bag in multiple airports. I was beyond impressed with my purchase. This little cooler bag actually stayed cold for two days past my flight. All you have to do is soak it in cold water. When you are done with it you can let set it out to dry and the gel beads harden once again for use over and over again. This is the best little insulin cooler pouch I have ever used. So convenient. I wouldn't know what to do without it on trips now. It now makes trips as a diabetic a little less worry free.

It's Magic! (Kidding... but it works well!)
I purchased this for use on an overseas trip to England. The hotel I'm staying in has zero in-room refrigerator for my insulin, and I'm always wary of leaving drugs with the front-desk staff to keep in their "breakroom" refrigerator. Gross. My trip isn't for a few weeks, and I eagerly tried out the FRIO at home. I'm used to the freezing cold of an ice-pack, so the initial coldness of the beads was less than I'm used to. However, it's the perfect temperature to keep my insulin cold. And, yes, it kept its temperature for close to four days. While the product is easy to use, please make sure you read the instructions carefully prior to use!

Doesn’t work
Followed instructions, sleeve does not keep medicine cold at all. I only needed it for two hours and when I arrived at my destination the medicine was room temp & the sleeve was barely cold. It’s been 3 days and the insert hasn’t even dried out. Waste of money.
