6-Piece Large Glass Canteen Double Wall

I bought these with a voucher I was given as I do like an espresso! I've been using standard espresso cups for a few years but always found the coffee cooled down fairly quickly, so thought I'd give these a go. They do actually keep the coffee warmer for longer, I'd say around 10 mins, rather than the 2-3 mins in my standard cups, and are a pleasure to use - very lightweight, and can be cleaned in a dishwasher too. I'd read the reviews of a range of double-wall cups and chose these (despite being more expensive) as they have a small valve at the base (don't mistake it for a sticker or try to remove it!) that allows the air in the insulation gap to expand and equalise pressure with the air outside, rather than create a pressure differential that could potentially crack the cup if there are any defects or scratches. The valve doesn't allow water in, and I've had no issues washing these in a dishwasher - some of the other alternative brands have small holes in instead of a valve, so water can leak in during washing. I am very pleased with these, and am considering purchasing other larger ones for americano-style coffees too!

These are perfect for hot and cold drinks. My favourite glasses and I use them everyday. Worth the cost.

I really like drinking my coffee out of these stylish glasses. Due to their double walled design they keep the coffee hot yet keep the outside of the glass cool, they are also great for keeping cold drinks cool. The only reason I haven't given them 5 stars is that even though they are made out of glass they do have bit of a plastic beaker sound to them.

The glasses arrived safely cocooned in thick card, and have a very up-market look to them. Sure, they're expensive too, so they should. In use they're nice in the hand, good to drink from and have a stable feel. The little silicone breather hole in the bottom is in a recess so doesn't interfere with the tabletop, but whatever you do don't be tempted to pick at them, as your air-gap will be compromised and the glasses will fill up with water and gak from the inside. Mine are all dishwashed almost daily and we've had no issue with the seals failing so far, and I find you treat the glasses with much more care because they're not cheap. I usually carry mine with my little finger under the bottom to prevent them falling out of my hand, as I can imagine they make a lot of small shards if you break them. They're Silicon Borate (sp?) glass, so hold up well to being in the dishwasher even though they sound quite hollow (because they are) when you ting them against other glasses during loading or unloading. Their main selling point is that you don't get sweating glasses when you load them up with ice-cold drinks in the summer, which I can confirm to be the case, but for me the general look and feel of this quality product is more appealing.

Fantastic for hot and cold drinks and just about stack in the cupboard. The glass is very thin so breaks easily but any thicker and would be heavy.

I love these glasses but …. Use every day for herbal teas and other hot drinks and put in dishwasher but after 2 years 5 out of 6 have broken and they are expensive to replace. Have other bodum glasses for hot drinks not double walled and they are much more robust. I would only suggest using for best and not everyday if you want them to last.

Why did you choose this product over others?: I have the bodium rounded ones so thought these would be good….. These look lovely but not very hard wearing they’re so very thin and 2 have broken already in less than a month just from stirring and putting in dishwasher (I know it suggests handwashing is best)
