Yes you can, its not about Petrol or Electric, its about looking after the chain, this Oil states it will make the chain last longer, so good choice.

Q: It’s advertised as 5L but when you zoom in to the picture it says 4.54L. Which is correct?

Yes your right, just had a look at the one I bought and it is in fact 4.54l.

Q: Is it suitable to mixe with petrol for the engine

This is oil to lubricate the chain on the saw. If your saw runs on 2 stroke mix you need 2 stroke oil not this.

Q: Is this suitable for log splitter

I would say no - log splitters need hydraulic oil
