I've had an Emerson Smart-set clock-radio-CD player for many years but recently it developed functional issues making it intermittently undependable so I decided to look for a newer model. I chose this one because of it's clean lines combined with the easy to read, brightness adjustable blue digital display. While I no longer have any need for a CD player, or an O.T.A. radio, I want the radio's functionality in the event I need it at some point so this clock-radio hits the spot for me. The only issue I've had with this device was when I set it up for the first time. It didn't initially detect my time-zone or set itself to the correct time, not even after inserting a backup battery (not included) so I had to set those up manually. While this was not an issue for me, it is contrary to the advertised behavior so I must describe the device as not being in compliance with what's advertised. Based on that, buyer beware, but if the initial set-up functionality is not an issue for you and you want a great looking clock, you should consider this one. Ernie

Almost exactly what I was looking for; small foot print, large multilevel brightness blue color digits, 2 alarm settings, FM radio band, usb outlet for charging my cell phone. The only thing that I would say is missing is being able to set specific days of the week to trigger the alarm(s). The choices provided are Mon-Fri, or Sat-Sun, or 7 days. What I could use is to be able to choose which specific days to alarm (such as Mon, Wed, Thur). I'll continue to us my cell phone for that. Otherwise, it's a nice alarm clock/radio.

It will help if you are good with tech things because a lot of technology went into this and I can’t believe these only cost $15.Nice unit and the sound is very good.Relatively easy to set up with all the things it does. Also perfect size for alarm clock radio.Does not pick up radio stations where I am located but ok.I would recommend this alarm clock radio .

My first Emerson was 10 years ago,it worked great, easy to program, good sound quality… until it hit the bathroom floor 😳!!!! I ordered #2… it was difficult to program but,got it done but, the back up battery was dead and I couldn’t get the radio to come on so,returned it. #3…difficult to program,worked on it for an hour,still no radio. So, by the time I had the patience to work on it again, 30day return ran out!!! Now I am stuck with a15$ night light…still can’t get radio to come on !!!! Can it be that complicated ?

Brand new clock arrived with dead battery! This is a lithium battery for backup, product description advertises that battery is included. To me, that means a working battery! No option to contact seller on this, product support took me to Emerson website. IF I get positive resolution from them, I will update this review. Another reviewer had the same problem, and I just assumed this would mean pop in a AA or AAA battery, which I keep on hand. Very frustrating to find that it requires a special battery that I don't even know where to buy one. Also noted that the "SmartSet" does not work - plugged it in and clock did not in any way set correct time. I had to do it manually, which to be honest, was relatively simple. The owner's manual was clear. I actually had more trouble figuring out radio stations. Sound quality is decent, about what you would expect from a clock radio. Decent radio reception. Blue tooth works well. Overall, for a $10 clock - decent value, I was hoping to buy two more to use in our guest bedrooms, where the battery backup and automatic time set is important. Guess I'll have to look elsewhere to find clocks for those rooms.

Not the best in the world, but it's what works for me. I have a hard time waking up sometimes but this one has been able to do it. It's sorta simple, I just set the alarm to the radio and then set it to a static station. Then I blast the volume. Used to scare me awake, but now I'm used to it. Bought this one again bc I broke the last one. Probably was too hard on it. Does the job and I like it

I purchased the clock radio to replace one that went bad. It has some of the same features as my old unit. Even on its lowest brightness setting, it's a little bright. I have the blue display. If I were to order it again, I would order the red, hoping the display is not so bright The other thing that I would like is the alarm volume. The radio alarm gets louder over about 10 seconds. Even at the lowest setting, it still wakes others up in the room. Setting the time is easy. It sets itself for the time. Setting an alarm is another story. It's not an easy thing to do. At least you only have to do it once. Over all it's a good product.

Comprei duas vezes, sendo que a primeira compra foi devolvida por ter chegado com aparência de usado. A segunda compra chegou direito, porém o produto não atende ao que foi proposto. A propaganda informa que você tem que configurar o parelho para seu Fuso Horário e que essa programação seria feita apenas uma única vez, pois ficaria gravada na MEMÓRIA, e toda vez que fosse desligada da tomada, ao religar ela voltaria no seu Fuso Horário. Isso não ocorre, toda vez que acabar a luz terá que ser RECONFIGURADA. Uma das características que me levou a comprar o produto, pois será usado por uma pessoa de 96 anos com dificuldades para essa RECONFIGURAÇÃO. Propaganda Enganosa!!!!!!!!

Doesn’t deserve even one star . Sent a clock meant for USA with 2 flat pin plug and 110 v. Date in USA format ie 4th sept is 9/4/21 instead of Uk 4/9/21. Conversion would be £40/£70 and still left with USA date format .Refunded!!

El despertador se ve bien lo unico q es nuevo y deberia de servir la batería de emergencia y NOFUNCIONA 😞
