Outstanding Performance at a Reasonable Price
This Thermalright cooler is one of the few air cooling solutions capable of handling a 14700K at its full 253W power draw without throttling. The performance-to-price ratio is outstanding. It's also functionally inaudible during normal use; at full fan speed it's certainly noticeable, but it doesn't even reach 100% duty cycle on my 14700K, so-given that your case has sufficient airflow, etc.-there's really no reason why it should ever be loud enough to be annoying. Installation is straightforward thanks to the well-designed mounting system. The heatsink looks sleek for what it is, and the aRGB is plenty bright to be visible even in cases with tinted side panels. A minor plus is the LGA2011v3 compatibility, increasingly rare among reputable manufacturers in 2025. Thermalright's long-standing reputation for quality at competitive prices is well-deserved. This cooler continues that tradition with zero compromises. Worth Considering Before Purchase: Some of Thermalright's AIOs are occasionally priced similarly or lower than this air cooler, and they will likely outperform it in real-world use (installed in a case, not on an open test bench). Unlike an air cooler (which is limited by the in-case air temperature), an AIO can either exhaust CPU heat directly out of the case or pull room-temperature air in—depending on how you configure the fans. This becomes especially important with a vertically mounted GPU, where this heatsink is tall enough that it receives direct heat from the GPU exhaust. In my Hyte Y70 case with a 14700K and a 7900XTX, during heavy GPU load but light CPU load, the hot GPU exhaust raises CPU temperatures to about 65°C. Under moderate CPU load, temperatures remain reasonable as the CPU fans ramp up to compensate, but a good AIO would perform better, particularly in low-CPU-but-high-GPU-load scenarios. Physical clearance between this heatsink and a vertically mounted GPU can also be an issue, depending on motherboard socket location and GPU size. Bottom Line: This is an excellent air cooler with no inherent flaws, and I highly recommend it. Depending on your setup, you might be better served by a Thermalright AIO at a comparable price point. You can't really go wrong with either option.

Impressive especially for its price! Great cooling, quiet, and reliable!
Im installing it on a ryzen 7 7900x, am5 platform. I switched from an AIO to this. I had my AIO for 4years now and I wanted get ahead and change before something goes wrong. My current cpu temps Idle: AIO: 47deg, phantom Spirit: 45deg Gaming (helldivers): AIO: 67ish, phantom Spirit: 67ish Cinabench 2024 score: AIO: 1646 phantom spirit: 1647 Build quality: The build quality of this is extremely amazing. Feels quality and looks quality. The size is smaller than a nh-d15 but performs on par with it. The fans are amazing quality as well. I was worried with the fan brackets since it seem flimsy. However, after installing it, its very much secure. Cooling Performance: Performs the same as my old Kraken x63 AIO and nh-d15. In some cases, it performs maginally better when compared to both. In my opinion, highend cooling has plateaued and price is the only driving factor. Noise: Its slightly louder than an AIO when on stock (but thats normal, AIOs are quieter in general) However, the performance of this thing is so good that I am able to turn down the fan speeds significantly. I have it at 25% when below 50deg, 40% below 70deg, and 80% at 85deg. Its a very quiet hum for most usage unless im stress testing. My video has the fan speed around 40% and u can barely hear it even with the glass off. Installation: I had a bit of confusion when installing it, because the stand offs say am4 and I was hessitant to just use that for my am5 incase it bends the pins on my motherboard. However, their website says it works for am5 and it does! I was still careful not to overtighten the screws just incase. Additionally, on am5, you dont need a motherboard backplate, its a really easy install process. My only irk: The fans come with two connectors, both the pmw and argb. Its extra wired that I had to manage, but mostly not a problem. Conclusion: This aircooler is a steal and a must buy for any build! I suggest even if you dont a highend cpu to get this one and use it for years to come! Its literally highend cooling for less than 1/2 the price. I feel like modern AIOs are not worth it anymore unless you are going for a certain aesthetic. Especially with the AIOs many potential failure points. Additional tips: If you use a 7000 series ryzen, i highly recommend you undervolt it as it would use significantly less power for almost the same performance. My temps went down by 18degs for a 2% performance loss.

Who says you can't have your cake and eat it too?!
Works great for my 9800X3D! Just be careful with RAM clearance, it's a tight fit if you have RAM with RGB/Heatsinks. But it keeps temps at 40-42°C at idle and about 60°C in game using MX-6 thermal paste. The cooler itself is excellent and the screen is highly customizable with various stats like temp, utilization, fan RPM, watt usage and the like. It's a bit pricier than your normal cooler, but just as effective as an AIO and very, very quiet. The two fans connect via a splitter into a single header, so no need to take more than the one CPU_FAN header for both included fans. The TRCC app only controls the LCD display and not the fans, but that can be set in the BIOS. Default settings keep things cool and quiet so I haven't messed with any of that as of yet. It was fairly simple to install, just make sure you have a long screw driver for the brackets; you won't reach it with a normal one.

This cooler works quiet well. My mounting method and thermal paste applications is not perfect still i am getting around 75°C on full 180W~185W with ambient temperature 29°C. My case has 3 intake and 1 exhaust fan. My case is not best for air flow still I am very happy with results. I stress tested my cpu and cooler for 30mins+ and no throttle. I am using this cooler with overclocked core ultra 5 245k running at 5.4 GHz at p core and 5.0 GHz at e core all core full load. And this 75°C was hot point. Installation was quiet easy Low noise level at full rpm. High quality fans and fins. Most value for money cup air cooler i found on the market other coolers with similar performance were 10K~12K

Works great, no issues with it at all. Noise is good, cooling is excellent, standard installation with idiot proof explication. Some what bulky so be mindful of the dimensions.

Whether you’re after the highest possible CPU overclock, or just looking to build a PC that's silent under load, you should choose your CPU cooler carefully. The best CPU cooler for your build will make a big difference in your system's temperatures and fan noise. In high-end systems, it can even deliver better performance by keeping boost clocks higher for longer.
