Big, Clear Sound for One Guitar and One Voice
The Proreck 800EX sounds clean, clear, and surprisingly full for a compact system. I use it for my solo acoustic guitar and vocal act, and it delivers plenty of clarity without getting harsh or muddy. Itโs simple to set up, easy to dial in, and makes my live sound feel polished and professional.

Issues that annoyed me too much
I really wanted to love these. I got 2 of them for a screaming deal. First the positives. 1. They look beautiful. Sleek and tall. They don't take up much floor space. 2. Super easy to set up. Just slide the spacer pole into the subwoofer and slide the top speaker onto that. 3. The sub and tops have separate volume controls. This allows to effectively mute either the top or the bottom so you can get a good sense of the quality of those components. 4. It gets plenty loud without distortion. Enough for a professional DJ? I don't know. But for my family parties of less than 100, yes. The reasons I returned them: 1. one speaker was broken. You could hear a crackle out of the tops. Unusable. 2. The volume level is inconsistent. There's like a pumping effect of 1dB up, 1dB down. It sounds like sidechain compression for those of you who know what that is. I don't think it's a defective speaker. I assume all 800EXs do that. I guess from lower quality components. Even my dad noticed it. It was too annoying to accept even if these are budget speakers.

Works Great & Affordable
I have a pair of these and they sound good. These have a good built quality with a few things that could be improved on. The woofer is in a wood enclosure which at this price point is good and the sound quality reflects the wooden enclosure. Had some issues with the TWS and received assistance from the helpdesk. Multiple ways to connect with enough power for a midsize venue. The Satellite speaker could provide better clarity in the highs and mid range frequency. I use an external mixer on these to get the sound quality I need. I wish there was a bag to carry these in so they would not get scratches but the company doesn't have a carrying bag the last time I asked them. If a bag was included, I could consider 5 stars. I made an unboxing video and review on youtube and several gigs which I have used them in (@DeanBrown and @WholesomeEntDJDean.

Amazing Sounding and Great bang for Buck. Speaker Well Done ProReck
Excellent for DJing and Good for karaoke with External mixer. The Bass has a great Kick and Top's are amazing sound. Top do Over Power the Bass a little, But that's not so bad Dual controller from Top to Bass Adjust it. It's Well Made & Look Professional. They do need Covers and Cases to protect. Used in couple Job's So far and No Problems/No Heat Issues. Will Be Buying more. Great bang for Buck.

I would give these five stars... But the sub is lacking thump...
These speakers are a really good value for the money... The build quality is spot on being made of MDF wood... They definitely have some weight but are sturdy. They Have a very portable size comparing them to traditional cabinet style point source speakers . Very portable And functional with numerous handle options. the mids and the highs are surprisingly powerful... But Unfortunately...the sub on the bottom just CANNOT keep up with the line array up top. To get decent bass I had to run the tops at about 25 to 30%... And the sub at 75% or higher for the sound to be well balanced. So unless your party is on the small end and/or you don't mind having less bass....you ABSOLUTELY will need to have an external speakerbthat's at least a 15-in or an 18-in get aPROPER bass Another drawback is the fact that you don't receive any kind of bag or case to carry the line array an pole, nor is there a bag to cover the sub cabinet. UPDATE: I updated my reading & BUT I have a few things to say: 1. Get an external mixer - to get the BEST sound quality out of these, you ABSOLUTELY will need to run your sound through an external mixer from your source that's properly dialed in. ...Otherwise you're in for a very frustrating evening having to bounce back between the speakers and your mixer to get the levels sorted ๐๐๐ 2. Scratches and damage to the cabinets - the choice of the paint that they applied should have actually been something that was high gloss and durable.... As opposed to the gritty feeling cabinet painting... With scratches and abrasions being very noticeable . 3. You must buy a bag - these didn't come in the bag to cover the sub, there's always a potential that these could rib against another surface. And when they come in contact with one that's just as gritty (i.e. another 800ex) they basically "sand" each other down and you end up with lighter smooth patches on the cabinet. So now my only option is to sand the WHOLE thing and repaint the cabinet with something high gloss and durable like Rust-Oleum or something like that. These are also something to consider before purchasing these
