This is hands down the best handheld milk foams mixer I’ve purchased on Amazon. I’ve even had a foamer that came “free” with a coffee company membership, and it doesn’t compare to this one in terms of power and usefulness. I want to be super clear about what this does best: it FOAMS and MIXES really well — it doesn’t create café-level FROTH. If you’re expecting thick cappuccino foam that sits perfectly on top forever, this isn’t that. For true cappuccino-style froth, you’re better off with an electric heating frothing machine. But for everyday use, this thing is amazing. What I use it for: • Protein shakes (I drink these daily) — mixes powders smooth and fast • Powdered supplements / energy mixes / vitamin powders — no clumps • Quick foam boost on hot, warm, or cold drinks What I love: • Rechargeable (no constant battery buying!) • Has an indicator light so you know when it’s running low • Fast charging (about an hour for me) • Holds charge for several days (I use it about once a day) • Strong mixing power — you can feel the difference I originally saw this at a friend’s house and she was so satisfied with it that I bought it immediately. Now I get why. Bottom line: If you want a powerful, rechargeable handheld tool that mixes and foams really well—especially for protein shakes and powders—this is a great buy. Just remember: it FOAMS, it doesn’t do professional cappuccino FROTH.

I've had this for the better part of a year and it's an excellent way to level up our home espresso game. The battery life is great - if used daily, I only end up charging it maybe once a month. The top speed is extremely fast, so I usually start there to incorporate air then submerge the blade and switch to 2nd gear so it can mix in the air and create good bubbles. I'm pleased with the microfoam this can make for the price point! It's SIGNIFICANTLY better than the cheapo foamers, and probably about 80% as good as what you can get from a steam wand (if the barista knows what they're doing!). Definitely recommend this for "pro-sumer" coffee nerds looking to level up without spending hundreds on an automatic espresso machine.

UPDATE: I still cannot find a lithium battery that works other than one that has consistently bad reviews on Amazon. I have tried reputable battery companies. I contacted Subminimal, and they will do nothing because I am 2 months outside the warranty. However, I think anyone who purchases this is purchasing it with the expectation that they will be able to replace the lithium battery when it dies. I do not recommend this product. Decreasing from 2 stars to 1 star. ------- it works well but be aware the lithium battery life is only about a year, and it is not easy finding a replacement with the correct specifications. Why they would choose a battery that is hard to find, I do not understand. In addition, the company's video on how to replace the battery only provided partial specifications since it simply said to refer to the parameters in the battery housing on the device. After spending $15 on the battery + shipping, I realized it wouldn't fit into the frother. I'm going to add the specs here for anyone who already owns this milk frother. Good luck. Lithium button top 18500, 3.7V, 1400mAh. I'm throwing this in the trash and will be a foamer that is cheaper and without this lithium battery problem.

This thing is solid. It has a thick bar that doesn’t easily bend like the typical frother, and the rechargeable lithium is nice. The power is great and I like that I have two speeds. I give the frother alone a 5/5. But it is darn expensive, so it better be that good, which it is. The reason why I dropped a star is because of the stand. I really prefer my cheapy frother’s stand that just stands on the counter. It allows me to temporarily stand it when I need to. It also lets the frother air dry after I wash it. The stand that comes with the subminimal requires you to mount it on a wall or cabinet, which I don’t care for, but it is a closes stand that you have to fit the frother into. No holes - no ventilation in the stand at all. It serves as a good travel case, but not as a stand.

As a coffee aficionado, I was hesitant about this product but it actually does a great job and reaches an almost perfect results. There’s a bit of a learning curve to get the right amount of foam, but overall love this foamer.

Powerful motor, two speeds, works really well. However, the whisk and screen casings are plastic. The plastic whisk portion fell on the floor and shattered, making my $40 purchase worthless. I will replace with an all metal frother after the holidays, but I would probably not recommend this particular unit.

At first when I ordered this I felt it maybe a little overpriced but I didn't want a cheapy spring frother. I ma very impressed as I was skeptical. I did opt for the lithium battery as I saw reviews that the case was hard to get open to change the batteries. I am very pleased with the great quality of this product. I made a cold foam with creamer and half and half. It made a beautiful crema that lasted in my iced coffee. If you do latte art I think this would work beautifully. If you like a silky smooth texture I would highly recommend this item. Opt for the lithium battery.

Ça fait une belle mousse de micro bulles dense et épaisse très similaire à une vraie machine qui fait de la mousse avec de la vapeur dans un café de barista. Au début ça demande de trouver la bonne technique comme lorsqu’on le fait à la vapeur mais ensuite c’est parfait! Nous avons combiner le tout avec un grainder manuel et une machine expresso manuel

This frother is the best in category of hand held milk frothers (and much better than most stand alone frothers). I am so sure to say so because I have tried so many and none worked this way. First of all, it looks super nice. The case is a nice touch and actually very useful as a protection when carried on a trip (for me, very important, I take frother wherever I go 🤩). Now, the functionality - I did not have any problems first using it (such as spilling the milk around because of the speed the frother has) because all you need to do is to have a fair sized jug and a good position, I am sure it is very easy to figure out). You also get two sorts of mesh, for two sorts of densities of the foam. Very nice. And the foam is silky beautiful. I found this quality of foam only in another stand alone frother I bought also on Amazon 🥳 So, I recommend this for sure!
