But you could but 100 of these for what one of those costs. And its performance is pretty close. No XLR or 48V for powered microphones. However sample rates to 192/24 and distortion in the -90dB or better range. I'm using it for measuring speakers and microphones and its not a limitation with the best transducers. In practical terms its performance is essentially "perfect" for audio needs. However to get the higher sample rates on Windows you need to go to "Settings">System"> "sound">"more sound settings" and open the individual device and select "advanced" to access the controls. The direct from the taskbar doesnt work. i think its a Microsoft issue since its Microsoft's native driver. There are complaints about units failing.
