Super easy installation, template was provided and I used to drill pilot holes on my barn. Used over a dozen times without an issue on retractability or hose kinking. Quality is great for light to medium duty work in the yard and barn. Clean look and keeping my barn visually appealing.

This was a Christmas gift for my son who just bought a new house, he really likes it, So far works great, he liked the fact I purchased the one with the metal bracket. Just bought second one for his back yard.

We live on a small (3 acre) acreage (3 acres) with a barn, and as such have gone through soooo many hoses. This hose is by far the best hose we have ever had. It doesn't leak. It doesn't drag on the ground. It hangs at whatever height you want (so it isn't on the ground) pivots perfectly. It was such a hit I have since ordered 2 more. We have one in the barn, one on the side of the house and one discreetly at the front. When it retracts it is super smooth. locks in any position (with a simple extra pull). It is an initial outlay but it last so much longer than any other hoses and it stops me from destroying my ground flowers and cursing. The video is of the one in the barn and the ones with the brick background are on the side of the house. Sturdy material. Super long (well one is 100 feet and 2 are 50'. I can't say enough about these. I even convinced my sister to get one!

I’m really impressed with the Giraffe Tools Metal Retractable Hose Reel. The build quality feels very solid, and the metal casing gives it a heavy-duty, long-lasting feel compared to plastic reels I’ve tried in the past. The 130 ft hose is more than enough to reach around my yard, and the retracting feature works smoothly—no more fighting to wind it up by hand. I also really like the ability to lock the hose at any length—it saves time and frustration. My only complaint is that the water pressure isn’t as strong as I expected when using the hose. It still works fine for most watering and cleaning tasks, but if you need a really powerful spray, this is something to keep in mind. Overall, this is a high-quality, well-designed hose reel that makes yard work much easier and more organized. Aside from the lower pressure, it’s an excellent investment for keeping your outdoor space neat and functional.

Very disappointed with this product. Bought this for my wife for Mother’s Day. Initially was unable to complete the installation on the back wall of our house due to very cheaply made plastic concrete anchors. They bent and crushed while trying to install. Directions were also very vague and unclear. Contacted the company.. the install was on hold while they sent more “plastic anchors”. Due to the unique size (3/8”), I was unable to find at our local hardware stores. Took the replacement anchors almost a month to arrive? Once they did, I was still only able to partially complete the install since some of the anchors would still bend/break. Not sure why they don’t provide metal concrete anchors for such a large, heavy product?! After all the delays and hassle, I ended up having to purchase larger sized, metal anchors from my local hardware store which cost nearly $15, then drill new holes just to compete the installation. From purchase to actual successful installation took almost 2 months. Then, no rubber washers were provided for the hose that connects the unit to the water source.. which caused massive leaking. Had to go out and purchase my own washers. This company needs to work on their quality control and do ALOT more homework on the parts and instructions they provide to customers for install. I would not buy again.

Convenient. I like the fact it mounts to the wall and gets it off the ground. Seems well made.

It looks really good I'll have to wait till summer to see how it works

I have three of these, one failed on the bracket and in the heat the unit actually bent and fell off of the unit. The others are perfectly fine. Boy do they have recoil! But aside from the initial failure, the seller/manufacturer and their representative Chrissy have gone above and beyond to replace the failed unit. Refreshing customer service. I would encourage the metal bracket as the upgrade will help in hot weather to avoid any issues.

Update: the important elements of the hose and assembly are still working fine 3 seasons in. The seller did replace the hose sprayer, but it also broke - don't buy it for the sprayer. The assembly is located on the sunny side of my home and roasts in the summer sun all season. That said, the housing of the hose has faded significantly - see pictures. Good thing is that it now matches my faded AC unit. ‐----- What I like: lots of hose. Hose reteaction works well... so far. Reaches everwhere I want it to go. Fastens securely to the wall and wall bracket is sturdy. What I dislike: seems cheap - lots and lots of plastic, low grade brass fittings, poor quality nozzle (poorly made and broke without much stress) = see images , the hose is already stating to wear, and it takes a bit of back and forth to find the sweet spot to lock the hose - a minor annoyance. I am really hoping this lasts more than a few seasons.

Installed as per instructions. Turned the water on and the hose reel leaked like a sieve from within. I purchased two of these reels and I’m now reluctant to install the second one based on the quality of this one.

Don't use if on south side of your house. Melted/warped. At least I have a nice hose out of it. :(

I bought this last year but even though I was disconnected for the winter the interior hose connects to a plastic, not metal, connected. Well, it is cracked and leaks everywhere now and I can’t seem to find out how to take it apart or even if there is a replacement part. It should be a metal connector. It was good for last summer. Also, while the bracket can connect directly to brick, I would advise to mount a wood board, larger than the bracket and then mount to it. There is a lot of pulling putting direct stress on the masonary anchors.

When extended 75% of its length the coiled spring “burst” within its plastic housing rendering the hose unretractable.
