Clean Power with a Few Caveats
Why I Bought It I needed a reliable power supply for my Raspberry Pi 5 that could handle power-hungry peripherals (USB drives, external SSDs, cooling fans) without instability. The GeeekPi 27W USB-C PSU looked promising — 5V/5A output, PD support, UK plug. Setup / First Impressions Out of the box it’s compact and solid. The UK plug is standard, the cable feels decent quality. It powers the Pi without any flickering LEDs or undervoltage warnings right away. The PD functionality means it can negotiate properly with the Pi 5 to allow the increased USB port current (important when using several devices). Performance / Quality In everyday use, the power supply performs well. Boot-up is smooth, attached USB drives and SSDs spin up without issues, and even when running moderately heavy loads (e.g. media server + small peripherals), there are no crashes or warnings. It’s stable; heat output is acceptable — it gets warm, but not alarmingly hot. However, there are trade-offs: since this is a 27W PD supply rather than the official OEM 27W, the tolerance, build quality, and long-term reliability may be slightly less consistent. Also, the cable quality and length could affect performance if you stretch it or use sub-par cables. Pros ✔️ Matches the spec needed for Raspberry Pi 5 (5V @ 5A) so peripherals are supported well. ✔️ PD support gives proper current control, reducing risk of undervoltage. ✔️ UK plug and plug-and-play – easy setup. ✔️ Compact and reasonable build for the price. Cons ❌ Slight warmth under load Final Verdict If you want a solid, good-value power supply for your Raspberry Pi 5 that lets you use peripherals without stability issues, this is a smart buy. It’s not quite “official”, so expect some margin in build or long-term durability, but for regular use it delivers nearly everything you need.

I recently purchased the GeeekPi RPi 5 USB-C PSU, My experience with it so far has been fantastic.
I recently purchased the GeeekPi Raspberry Pi 5 USB-C Power Supply and have been using it for my Raspberry Pi 5 (8GB version). Although I haven't had the opportunity to test it at full power just yet, my experience with it so far has been fantastic. Pros: Build Quality: The power supply feels robust and well-made, with a sturdy design that gives confidence in its durability. Consistent Performance: Even though I haven't maxed out its power capacity, the performance has been very stable. It provides a consistent 5.1V output which is crucial for the smooth operation of the Raspberry Pi 5. PD 27W Output: The power delivery (PD) of 27W ensures that the Raspberry Pi 5 gets sufficient power, which is especially important for more demanding projects and peripherals. Compatibility: Designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi 5, it fits perfectly and works seamlessly with both the 4GB and 8GB models. UK Plug Convenience: For users in the UK, the inclusion of the UK plug is a major plus, eliminating the need for adapters and ensuring a secure connection to power outlets. Compact and Portable: Despite its power, the adapter is compact and easy to carry around, making it great for both stationary and mobile setups. Cons: Haven't Tested Full Power Yet: While this isn't a drawback of the product itself, I haven't had the chance to push it to its full 27W capacity. However, given its performance so far, I have no doubt it will handle high power demands effortlessly. Overall, USB-C Power Supply has exceeded my expectations with its reliability and build quality. Hope this helps you in making a good decision.

Cheaper than OEM, but just as good
Cheaper than RPI's original version, but works perfectly. Build is decent, cable length is sensible, and it provides enough power to my Pi to run the Pi, a cooler, and an SSD, so I'm not getting those annoying power warnings anymore.

Could be longer
Works as expected but wish I'd paid attention to the length.

4/5 stars - dependable power delivery with minor durability caveats
I chose this power supply to support a Raspberry Pi 5 running external storage and active cooling, where sustained current delivery matters more than headline wattage. In regular use, the unit negotiates Power Delivery correctly and supplies the Pi with sufficient current to enable higher USB port draw without triggering undervoltage warnings. Boot stability is consistent, even with SSDs and peripherals attached, and thermal behaviour remains within acceptable limits for a compact 27 W adapter. This aligns with most user reports, which emphasise reliable operation under moderate to heavy loads. From a build perspective, the adapter feels adequately constructed for its price bracket, with a firm UK plug and a cable that performs well when left undisturbed. The main compromise is long-term robustness, as a small number of reviews note early failures or limited cable length, suggesting quality control variability rather than a design flaw. It is not an enthusiast-grade PSU, but within typical Raspberry Pi 5 use cases it delivers stable, cost-effective power and represents a sensible alternative to more expensive options.
