I did wrap the perch with medical wrap for a better grip because the perch was a little thick and hard for them to grip. It could be changed out for a smaller diameter perch later on but wrapping it worked great. I love the toy bar, as this was a specific requirement for me even though my Indian ring neck likes to climb. The metal is powder coated and easy to clean. I will also use this for station training.
