I did have a shed three weeks after completing chemo it seemed like it was the biggest shed overall. That may have been because it was December and I was wearing a wool beanie most of the time. I am grateful I kept up with cold capping because I never went bald. Update 2: completed 12 rounds of taxol and kept most of my hair. Used dry ice to cool 6 caps and change caps every 10-13 minutes. I also started capping one hour before treatment (during premeds) and continued capping for five hours afterwards. Now I’ve had 2 out of 4 rounds of AC and my hair is thinning on the crown and sides. It is easy to coverup with a hat or headband. Will try to update after I finish AC. Update 1: I have had 5 rounds of chemotherapy so far. I have used these caps for the past four treatments and have had minimal hair loss. I am following the same instructions as I did with the rental cold caps. I still have a long road ahead and will try to update again. Original Review After I tried using caps from a rental company, it was not a great experience with the caps and decided to purchase my own. I have only had two rounds of chemo so far. Yesterday was the first time wearing these caps. They are so much more comfortable to wear but I did change them out more frequently than the rentals, which didn’t seem to make a difference.
