Originally bought this as an early Christmas grift for my daughter. The set had sparkled her eye and it was on sale. Kids opened up the Amazon box and found it, so made a deal that the could write down which set of the three they wanted and they could have it in their room, thankfully they chose different sets! The builds themselves were interesting and varied. They could be rather challenging with the small details but my 20 year old did fantastic. Each kid built the set they wanted with help from dad. And we all helped build the 3rd set. Very little repetition in the builds which is nice. And some excellent little details in each build. The final build on all 3 sets are fantastic! They are great display pieces. My oldest has the Mantis, my youngest has the Beetle and the butterfly is in the mantle. My wife, a non-Lego person, even likes it! Bottom line: varied build, fun process and excellent final display. Recommended.
