For any fan of the game, this book is a delight to peruse, even though it lacked a great deal of direction and substance; there was much notable baseball history missing here. However, in a game so rich in tradition, it's still a very worthy effort from the team of writers.This is a loving romp through baseball history; although a bit like driving around the country with no map. You'll see a lot of sights, but it's hard to tell exactly where you're going. You've just got to sit back, relax, and take it all in. It's still a nice trip.

This book was given as a gift to my daughter duroing the 2011 world series. she loves the game and she thought the book was great. My daughter lives in St Louis so this book was special wit h them winning the world series

Being an avid baseball fan and at an age where I saw many of the legends that were profiled in this book, I more than enjoyed it.

This book has fantastic images of the past as it relates to baseball, and it is just the right size! It's a large smaller than a 'cocktail table book' but just as worthy of bring displayed.
