Review: Previous owner had lost the ignition key - I purchased a 2000 Sportster 883C but the previous owner had lost the key. A new OEM part was over twice the price and I would have had to wait for the registration process to complete before I could get a replacement key. It took me just over half an hour to fit, mainly due having to remove the tank. Instructions were clear and while the wires were not the same color the suggested wiring worked straight off. Very happy as I was able to start the bike sooner and I also have a spare key now.

I purchased a 2000 Sportster 883C but the previous owner had lost the key. A new OEM part was over twice the price and I would have had to wait for the registration process to complete before I could get a replacement key. It took me just over half an hour to fit, mainly due having to remove the tank. Instructions were clear and while the wires were not the same color the suggested wiring worked straight off. Very happy as I was able to start the bike sooner and I also have a spare key now.

I didn’t use the switch, I just needed the nut for my Harley ignition because the old one fell off and this was less expensive than buying just the nut.
