Blade needed sharpening, but otherwise it's a nice truck weapon

Mine did not come with a hair popping razors edge like some have mentioned but after a few solid strokes on a whetstone cylinder it was certainly a workable edge. I am not going to say this is exceptional steel because I don't believe it is, but for a pseudo self defense item this will certainly do better than the majority of mall ninja items.

So… is still effective for most uses of Kama however… Tip is not at optimal angle or nearly sharp enough for the weapon. It can for sure drag someone by neck, heel, snip Achilles, sever hamstring or catch a wrist tricep and bicep. Key component is to be able to punch through clavicle or shoulder blades to grab inside ribs and tip is NOT made for that so it gets 4 stars as it’s a key function of this weapon.

First of all this is not my first purchase by items by this company. I had to order 2 of the M 48 Kama, one for each hand. When they arrived I field tested them. They were well built, good looks, well balanced, and after some sharpening, they held an edge nicely. Cost is acceptable and worth every penny. Bloody well done.
