I love the way this feels on my face. Makes my face smooth, and I have definitely noticed the difference in the wrinkles.

My skin is so soft after using this. And it may be my imagination but I swear my wrinkles around my mouth are smaller.

I can't do retinol any other way

Retinol is not the same and this product seems to have a better formulation for delivery. Personally, I would have preferred it to be retinal as it is more potent than retinol but... this also includes Vitamin C, so that may be why. It's tricky to get both of these in the right balance for optimum benefits. Usually most people opt to use C in the morning and a retinol at night, so it's wonderful to have them both in the same product. It is a great oil for smoothing and moisturizing. This makes my skin feel tighter and look more even. The fine lines under my eyes appear smaller and the larger wrinkles around my mouth are less prominent. I need at least a month for my skin to fully turn over and honestly another month to make sure the results are from my skincare regimen rather than exfoliation alone but so far, this serum is one of the best ones I've tried so far.

I’ve used numerous retinol serums over the years, and I must say that this one ranks up among the best, perhaps due to its high concentration of retinol as well as the additional anti-aging ingredients it contains (i.e. Vitamin C, botanicals, etc.). I have maturing combination skin and I use this serum at night after washing my face but before applying moisturizer. When I wake up in the morning, my skin looks bright, smooth, hydrated/plump and dare I say…a bit more youthful…I actually noticed a difference beginning the first time I used it. This serum absorbs quickly, but leaves behind a slightly oily residue (which is to be expected, as it IS an oil, after all). The consistency is runnier than most, so be careful when pumping into your hand…you only need one pump to cover your entire face, so this bottle will likely last a long time. The scent is very pleasant. As with all retinols, be sure to use sunscreen during the day, as retinols will make your skin more sensitive to the sun.

So oil typically has some sort of viscosity to it but this is very watery. I normally use 3-4 drops of oil but one pump of this is plenty. It spreads on smoothly and feels great on the skin. Absorbs well, doesn't clog pores.

this is a really great product! i feel like i may have heard of this brand before but i can't recall, but i do know that i have not tried anything from them in the past. retinol and vitamin c are both things that i should really use more of in my skincare routine, so it was nice to get to try a product that has both. i was a little nervous that my somewhat sensitive skin would be bothered by this, but it has been perfectly fine. in fact, i love the way my skin looks and feels when using this product.

I have been hearing buzz about how good the Colleen Rothschild skincare products are, so I was very eager to try this Retinol Supreme Night Oil. My skin can be a bit funny- I can easily handle retinaldehyde (strong), but the vast majority of retinol lotions bother my skin, or have to be eased into very slowly, or must be encapsulated retinol for my skin to tolerate. The one time I tried a retinol that was combined with Vitamin C my skin reacted horribly. I have also tried other retinol "night" oils. While I was hoping that an oil delivery system would be gentle with those other products, they were not. I have to say the Colleen Rothschild Retinol Night Oil acts very, very differently, thank goodness! I have been able to apply this oil nightly without any skin reactions or irritation. The oil is lightly scented and smells really delightful, and it smooths onto my skin readily. In fact, I know I'm using more than they suggest, but my dehydrated skin just absorbs everything I put on it so quickly that I find it impossible to spread 4 drops around my face, let alone neck and chest. Retinol takes months to show an effect, so I can not rate the effectiveness of this night oil yet, but I can attest to it being extremely gentle on my skin, and I love the feeling of the oil on it, as it seems to be more of a dry oil than an oily oil, if that makes any sense at all. I did knock a star off from the rating, and this was due to the price point of it, and the fact that there isn't much of a mention on the box about the % of the retinol, or if it is encapsulated, etc. Many consumers like to know these things before trying or before switching brands, and there is just no mention that I could see on the box. I'm also not convinced that Vitamin C needed to be included in this formulation, as it is intended to be used at night, not during the day. However, I took the bullet and tested it for you first- if my finicky skin can easily tolerate this, yours probably can too. Overall, this is definitely the best retinol oil that I have tried so far.
