I find that emulsifying ointment is the only thing that works for my dry skin/ eczema, short of using topical steroids (with their side effects). This does the job perfectly. Just be aware that, as with all emulsifying ointments, it is quite greasy and collars / cuffs etc can need more frequent washing.

Not the tub advertised on Amazon. Different packaging etc from the one I ordered. The emollient is of texture that I like. It's thick and verging on solid . With the heat of ones hands the emollient melts to a softer more malable consistency. My skin is all the better for using the emollient rather than soap or makeup cleansing materials.

I bought this as a soap replacement as my skin has become drier with age. It has done the job & I am relieved my skin is no longer flakey & feels softer!

I have used this for some years, previously buying at a pharmacy. I have suffered from dry skin, chaps and eczema on my hands for decades and this is the best treatment AND prevention. Used regularly but sparingly it works extremely well for me. Contains no water, which is really vital to clear up chapped skin. Yes its greasy. I use it before I go to sleep, so it doesn't matter about the grease. During the day I apply it and rub it in, then remove excess grease with kitchen paper. It works!

I’ve used this product for years and it’s amazing. This is the official branded item which I had previously been prescribed by my GP, unlike some I ordered from another seller and had to return. I use it as a soap substitute and it keeps my skin soft and helps reduce irritation. 100% recommended.

Been using for year. Use to make my own and this is well mixed original banded product. Beware of those from other sellers which try and pass off non-branded products if you have sensitive skin. Will buy again and from this seller. UPDATE: Feb 2025 Repurchased Ovelle, to be sent a non-branded substitute. Now on site as out of stock. Whilst the ingredients seem similar, I have particular sensitivity and react to many products. I wished they’d send a message to ask if I want an alternative. Can’t seem to get hold of Ovelle brand, so opened this one. It has a strange smell. It is very hard and feel different to Ovelle. I’ll see if I have a reaction.

I’m been using emulsifying ointment for decades on my children that have eczema, I use it in the place of soap, it cleanses the skin and keeps it moisturized. It’s the best soap less cleanser ever. It’s also the best makeup remover and cleanser. Downside is, it’s not readily available in the US for purchase, LOVE this product.
