As for the quality of the kernels themselves.... Very impressed with what I got. I'd say it's even better than bagged microwave popcorn. More kernels pop. They don't easily scorch (I can put it in for 3:30 without it tasting off, while bagged versions scorch around 3:20 in, with more than quarter tasting off at 3:30). There isn't much "shell" after it pops, leaving you with more of the crispy+fluffy white outer layer. It seems sweeter than other brands, which I am not used to. It's definitely pleasant, but at the same time not what I grew up with. IMO the sweetness blends very well when you add salt and butter and becomes even more addictive than if you were using another type of popcorn. It seems to hold okay with salt and butter, perhaps just a tad slippery/silkier than what I am used to, but I find the touch of it very enjoyable, way better than any kernel I ever touched. It is on the fragile side, so I haven't made caramel version with it yet, mostly out of fear of having too many crumbs. I am sure with glazes it would be fine, but I just don't have any to test it out. Overall, this is an amazing, premium product. I highly recommend giving it a try even if you are a bit hesitant of its mild sweetness as reported in other (and my) reviews. It's very slight. You only notice it because it's not the same as the popcorn you probably had +1,000 times already. I can see myself getting used to it to the point of not noticing anymore.
