This works great on scars. It is a little pricy, so I’m trying another brand to compare.

Overall, this is a good product. The tape sticks well and stays on through the night. It feels comfortable on the skin, and I had no issues putting it on. The pre-cut center makes it easy to apply, which I really liked. One downside is that it gets dirty quickly, especially from lint and dust. Also, it’s not waterproof, so you have to remove it before showering. Aside from those small issues, it works well and does what it’s supposed to do. I’m happy with it and would recommend it.

Amazing product— it s taking months but my keloid scars have slowly softened and faded. Certain parts of scarring have taken longer to disappear.. and I do use Nexcare tape once the adhesive weakens abit.. i ve also purchased new strips on the average of every 3-4 mos tho not sure if necessary in terms of effectiveness. I wash the strips in sime warm soapy water after every 2 or 3 uses.. try to keep on strips between daily showers, ie 24 hours at a time if possible. My cosmetic surgeon recommended them. Not sure why there ve been such negative reviews.. guess don t work for everyone but have been a fantastic and worthwhile investment for me!!!

I’ve been using the NewGel Plus 2” x 8” C-section silicone scar strips (2 pack) on both an older C-section scar and a more recent one that had complications. The newer incision is longer, less even, and had a raised, bumpy corner from excess scar tissue. I’m genuinely impressed with the results, these thick (1.5 mm) silicone sheets have noticeably flattened and softened both scars, dramatically reduced redness, and smoothed out that stubborn raised area. The improvement is very visible, even on the older scar. The 2” x 8” precut strips are perfectly sized for C-section and abdominal scars, no need to cut long rolls anymore. They follow the curve of the lower abdomen nicely, and if needed, they’re still easy to trim for a custom fit. Each strip is reusable and lasts about 4 days of near constant wear (removed only for showers) before I notice mild skin sensitivity and give my skin a one day break. The included adhesive tape is a great addition, whenever a corner starts to lift (especially on more active days or with certain clothing), a tiny piece of the medical tape locks it back down securely. Application is simple and quick. I haven’t had issues with extreme heat or humidity yet, but in normal daily life (including light exercise and chasing kids), they stay in place well with the occasional tape reinforcement. Maintenance is definitely the trade off of using silicone sheeting in general, removing the strip feels like peeling off a big bandage, and you have to gently wash and air dry it while keeping the adhesive side clean, but the precut 8 inch length and thicker material make handling easier than the longer rolls I used before. The adhesive tape included in this kit solves almost all lifting concerns. Overall, these NewGel Plus C-section strips are the abdomen specific version I needed. The results on both new and older scarring have been excellent, and the convenience of the precut 2” x 8” size plus the extra adhesive tape make daily use easier. If you’re looking for scar treatment using medical grade silicone sheeting that’s actually designed for C-section and abdominal scars, this 2 pack is definitely worth it especially when you catch it on sale. I recommend it for anyone wanting flatter, softer, less red scars with a manageable process.

I never would have thought something like this would help in minimizing scars! But it does. I have many keloids and some scars from a removal on my torso. Snip a piece off to fit the side of the scar, and leave it on. I didn’t first realize it was reusable by rinsing off, so when I figured that out, it made the value of these two strips greater. I don’t understand how it functions, other than softening the scar, but it’s an easy , no pain way, to effectively reduce the appearance of scars.
