Awesome unit but didn't work for me
This thing is the coolest android radio I have ever used. That said, I'm sending it back due to the Bluetooth chip only supporting audio reception (I need the Bluetooth to communicate with my electronic logging device and a few other Bluetooth LE devices but the firmware/ROM does not support that function, nor can it be flashed with unofficial roms without voiding the warranty). All of this is stated in the user manual (not available online) and in super fine print on the manufacturer's website at the very bottom of the page. It is not not in the Amazon listing... Boo on me for not going full detective before purchasing. I did try to add a Linux supported Bluetooth USB dongle in hopes that I could make this unit work but that did not work either. I thought the day was saved when I found that my electronic log could work via USB but, as fate would have it, the settings to allow a USB device to launch a specific application are unavailable as well. Also, some USB functions seem to be blocked completely. This was all super disappointing to me coming from an Atoto android head unit with not just one but two full featured Bluetooth radios and full USB support in my car. Had this unit the same functionality, it would have been the first of three radios I purchased for my vehicles.. Installation was super easy and setup was maybe a few minutes. I was not thrilled with the manufacturer's included launchers and also not happy that changing the launcher has no effect (radio still uses the Joying launcher). Due to their launcher being less than optimal, most android settings are difficult, if not impossible, to access. Some of the settings within the factory launcher can be changed but will immediately revert to their previous/default settings. Even chosing a wallpaper requires you to download a launcher like Nova7 and butcher settings to get it to work. Their idea of a custom boot screen is selecting from their library of car manufacturer logos. There is no way, without doing sketchy stuff, to get your own truly custom boot logo into the device. It's a real shame that this radio is lacking so much but I would consider it superior in performance and quality to Atoto, just lacking in features and usability. This hardware, with a non bottom-of-the-barrel Bluetooth chip or two, and a clean, unmolested installation of Android (with default launcher and access to all settings) would make for the best head unit on the market. Until then, I will stick to my laggy Atoto in my car and a simple single din Bluetooth radio + android tablet combination in my semi.

Good unit, not 100% happy with it
i've been using my car with this unit for 2 months now, so far it's been a pretty solid impresion, but it seems the unit have one factory problem with the mic, i happen to call a friend to do the instalation and after it was finish, i notice i couldn't use the mic. My friend had to look up in forums and came to the conclusion that he needed to change the mic. After he did so everything seems to be fine. Besides that also i didn't like the fact that the app installed to simulate android auto/ apple car play function of sharing your phone screen is not working, it seems that the app client used is no longer supported or properly working, it looks like JOYING is not constatly updating their units to have functional apps installed. As i mentioned everything fine, specially getting a devide with this good specs, everything runs and looks smooth, but for the price and having those little issues i mentioned is bit bittersweet, for something as expensive as 400$ the less you would expect is to have every piece properly working and functional.
