Ideal for adding Apple Carplay to my brother-in-law's older car.

Everthing is fine ,but I cant mute ,the sounds come from the car and this screen

Easy to install, set up with android phone was a breeze, continues to work flawlessly. If using GPS directions, easy to change destination without having to use phone or being distracted while driving.

GPS is never correct. Shows you at a location you were at miles ago. Same issue using Waze, Apple Maps and Google maps. Tried rebooting and same issue. Do not recommend!

I tried to use this in my A3 and didn't quite work out. The unit functions great and everything it said was included. It was easy to operate and install. It feels a little heavy for the double-sided tape to be a a solution for mounting it, I think it would need to be bolted or screwed down somehow. It's very large, so when on the dash it blocks a lot of visibility through the windshield, which isn't a great thing. Maybe in a larger vehicle where you have more room it would be a better option. It does exactly what they said it would do, just not the best for us.

But the functionality has a lot to be desired. 1) I kept having to manually connect by turning on and off both my phones bluetooth and the device. It could take 5-10 minutes sometimes. 2) It doesn't automatically turn off when you turn off the car. 3) It's not compatible with fast charging. So not only does it rapidly drain the battery, it doesn't simultaneously charge. 4) the device is optimized to stream audio through the cars bluetooth. The manufacturers didn't seem to appreciate that many people looking for this type of device dont have bluetooth...otherwise they would not need this device.Overall, I would not buy this again until the underlying technology improves.

I ordered the Portable Wireless Screen for my 2005 Jetta wagon. When I read that it could be used in an older car, I was so excited to try it out. As you can see from the picture, I have a very old stereo in my car and the dashboard is peeling. This new tech upgrade is helping me time travel to the 2020’s. I have been wanting a new car for a while but now I think I can hold on just a bit longer. I love this gadget!The sound from the FM transmitter is such an improvement from other little cigarette lighter transmitters that I have used. Having a large screen (like newer cars) with apps also makes everything safer, more convenient, and easy to use. I no longer have to clamp my phone on the vents and squint my eyes to see navigation apps while driving. If you look closely, you can see that my car vents have been destroyed from all the phone holders that I have used. I’m happy to finally toss them all away.The included directions were very helpful but I found myself not needing them for installation because once I plugged in the screen, car play took over and everything worked flawlessly. I’ve owned a few FM transmitters that plug into the cigarette lighter so setting up that was also simple. The directions are very clear and easy to follow if you haven’t used FM transmitters.After reading a helpful tip from another reviewer, I ordered a mounting arm with a suction cup. That way I can pull it down away from my window so it doesn’t block my vision and I will be able to easily remove it when I park in less favorable areas in the city (with frequent car break ins). Extending it down may block the front camera but that’s not a priority for me.With some help from friend, I plan on installing the back up camera and will update the review later. That is another new car experience I will thoroughly enjoy, especially when I’m parallel parking.I am so happy with this portable wireless screen and now look forward to road trips in my old car.
