Really great whistle. It's definitely noticeably louder than your standard electronic whistle. Just make sure you keep it charged and/or you turn it off when you're not using it. I've had it die on me in the past and I've been left without a whistle as a result. Couldn't give you an estimate for how long it lasts so just make sure to turn it off between games and go into the day with a full battery.

Gone of the days that you have to blow whistle with your mouth. My wife needed a whistle for school because she deal with kids all the time in this came in really handy she loves it I will be purchasing more of these products. Air horns are nice, but only give you a few seconds of noise before they're spent and need to be discarded and replaced. I wanted something that would be comparable in dB output, but also be more reliable and reusable. I first purchased another product like this that is prominently shown on Amazon. I immediately returned that one as it was the cheapest thing I've ever held in my hand, and I'd be afraid to even take it outside, much less rely on it in a potentially-dangerous animal encounter. This one feels much, much better. It looks like it will actually handle being outside in the elements and could probably even handle being dropped a few times without concern. I'll definitely be keeping this with me (along with my bear spray) when camping in bear country!

I was hoping this would be just a bit louder. Its pretty loud but very directional. I think because of the metal tip. But it is good. Already used it at one tournament. Survived 4 hours of downreffing no problem.

Very loud and clear sound, perfect for sports practice or emergencies. Rechargeable which saves on batteries. A little bulky to hold compared to a regular whistle, but the convenience makes up for it.

Purchased late April 2024. Faulty late July 2024, 3months later. The whistle is now very quiet (all settings at max.). There is an unspecified ''design feature''. The unit turns off after period of inactivity, so needs to be switched on to use. Normally not a problem, unless being used by elderly/infirm to attract attention of carers.
