Amazon Essentials Women's Relaxed-Fit Water-Resistant Trench Coat

I ordered this coat earlier this week because I needed something suitable for cool fall weather and professional enough to wear to work. I have had mixed experiences with Amazon Essentials, but the list price at the time was $25 so I figured it was worth a try. When it arrived, it was neatly folded (no concerns with creases as some other reviews have mentioned. The fit was generous but flattering. The fabric feels substantial and the quality appears to be good enough to last a few years. Curiously in the time between placing my order and when it was delivered, the price of this item more than doubled. Not sure if I just caught it on sale or if inflation skyrocketed in the past 4 days. I feel lucky to have purchased this item at a price that seems worth the value of what I received, but I don't see it being worth more than double what I paid, where it's currently priced.

I love this coat already!! In fact I'm buying another color right now. It's soft and light. I was worried that now I'm larger, coats would look bad on me and make me look bulkier but I feel so sexy! For reference I'm 5'4" & 170 pounds. I used to be 120 so finding clothes that make me feel confident now is a huge deal

I gave this to my teen daughter a little early for Christmas b/c it arrived in a plastc bag and not in a box so she already saw it. I took it out the bag and we checkced it together for stains, loose threads, holes or odd smells. There were none. The coat looks great on her 5'8 122 lbs frame. Claimed she looked like a "detective " in it. The water resistant claim has not been tested yet. That is why I can only give 4 stars.

I ordered black. I wanted a coat that repelled water, but not be a rubberized raincoat material. In person, the color looked lighter in person. I couldn't tell from the picture or description, but the material felt like smooth nubuck so when it catches the light, it looks even lighter. It did keep me dry during the rain, but after laying it out to dry for about 2 hours, I put the coat back on it felt wet and cold. I was afraid it would get my clothes wet despite the lining. It was like water had permeated the outer material, and it felt like putting on wet socks. For this price range, it's acceptable, but I would wear this if the forecast calls for any precipitation that is like light drizzle. I could probably keep this at the office or in the car in case of emergencies.

I probably would have liked this coat, but even though I iordered a Small, Amazon sent me a Large. I now have to go out of my way to return it at the UPS store. I'd order one in the correct size, but no longer trust Amazon to get the size right. It's just annoying. If the Small was out of stock, all Amazon had to do was tell me, instead of sending me a Large. And it's too bad, as it does seem like a nice coat/jacket in the right size. It's not too heavy, like many coats of this style.

I first purchased an XX large and it was entirely huge on me however I have to tell you this was a real bargain if any of you have an opportunity to purchase it please purchase it it is I'm assuming a coat that runs close to size unfortunately I'm going to have to return it but the material feels wonderful and it's lined and it's just a beautiful coatI gave it five stars because I was satisfied with everything about the coat and it was my own mistake that I ordered it to large

It is very cheap material that is not comfortable at all and rather stiff. Also attracts lint/hair very easily. Lastly it is not a true black but has a blue tint. I kept it because it was affordable and I wanted something a bit nicer to throw over work clothes/church clothes in the winter but I would not recommend.

I bought this for my daughter about three months ago, and she has worn it a lot, in fact I have washed it in the washing machine at least four or five times and even put it in the dryer a few times.It has proven to be a great purchase, in fact I am planning to purchase another in a different color, assuming the price is this low as the khaki. I would buy this again.
