Love my camera. Relatively easy to install. Don’t forget to buy an SD storage card. Excellent image quality. Stores well and a great value. Very functional and records great videos.

I ordered this after reading the reviews on the product. I had been looking to buy one and saw some footage someone had shared from their RedTiger cam. Great picture quality, easy functionality, easy to install. The kit came with everything needed to make a neat job of running the cord to the cam. My only "complaint" is that the mount that is applied to the windshield that connects to the cam was wonky. Any time I hit some uneven terrain or even had to brake harder than usual, the cam would move upward cutting off half of what it was recording in front of me. I tried to tighten it up but the mount was just faulty. It kept moving out of place. I reached out to RedTiger customer support and they fixed me up. Very prompt communication and follow through. I had a replacement mount with all the adhesive pads needed to replace the mount in a day. The new one is much better. I rate the kit 5 stars for the quality product but also because customer support is top notch. You can't go wrong with this company.

The camera and video quality are excellent. The only improvement I’d like to see is having the videos save directly to the app, so you don’t have to search for them and download—which can take some time. The dashcam feels reliable and well-built, giving me peace of mind while driving. The design is sleek and easy to use, making it a great addition to my car. Overall, I really love this dashcam.

This camera is very easy to install and use. The video quality is excellent. I added the hardwire harness, which is a separate purchase, to be able to use the parking security mode. This is a great feature that activates if your car is hit or broken into.I give it 4 stars because the camera stopped working after I tried to replace the supplied 64gb card with a 256gb. The camera would turn on, and all the menu buttons functioned, but when formatting the SD card, it kept saying the card could not be formatted. Without formatting or recognizing the card the camera while not record. I contacted customer support, and they sent me a Redtiger 256GB card to replace the 64gb. That did not work. I contacted them and they shipped me an entire new system. I received it today, and the replacement camera now recognizes the 256gb card, and is working fine. I only needed the main camera, because the original wiring is already installed through my cars body trim, with the rear camera mounted. They advised just to put the bad camera in the new box with all the new wiring and send it back that way; no need to return original wiring.Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality and ease of function of the R17. (It's rare to have problems with electronics, but it does happen. I just drew a bad one this time.) As far as support, it was excellent. Each step, the SD card replacement, and then the camera replacement, were very quick. Two-day shipping for each event.This camera is one of the top rated for its price and I highly recommend this system for those who want the security of a 360° video eyewitness. Was not looking forward to installing this camera, put it off for several days then decided to jump in, Got myself all worked up for nothing. Easiest install i've ever done. Followed the directions, downloaded the app and the camera came up and worked the first time! Took a few mins to figure out the buttons and settings but start to finish took maybe 30 mins. Great product.

Very very easy to set up and I had purchased the OBD wiring kit along with this. The camera itself out of the box felt like pretty good quality and wiring it in with the orange tool provided was very easy to do. However, my big issue is that after installation, I believe the heat from being pinned to the windshield, the camera will swivel EXTREMELY easily. Just from braking and accelerating, the camera with tilt forwards and backwards on its own and will not stay fixed. I have yet to try to tighten the small allen key to see if that helps to secure it better, but the ease at which it can move could be extremely detrimental to the entire purpose of the camera itself. Otherwise, the camera was extremely easy to setup and connect to, and the wire was the perfect length to run from my OBD port through the A-frame and tucked into the top of my windshield. The camera quality is really good and the screen is surprisingly bright. I will eventually try to fix this swivel by tightening the allen key and I'll update after I do it to say whether or not it helped.EDIT: Changing my rating from 3 to 4 stars simply for the response and concern from the RedTiger team. They offered me a full-refund and a replacement hinge and were very apologetic. I admire their attention to detail in regard to what customers have to say and any critique. Hopefully the next design can improve on the wobbly hinge but for now, I am very much enjoying my RedTiger F17. Thank you!
