These enable a comfortable riding position for hours. Straight bars are for mountain biking where the rider rides forward over the handlebars, and dirt trekking. They have become a fashion, like disc brakes (heavier than rim brakes - and more trouble). Mudguards stop mud streaks up the riders back and can only weigh 365g - but maybe they aren't cool (they also stop road muck being sprayed into the chainrings, mixing with oil grunge to create a grinding paste). Bicycles are not meant to be instruments of torture.

Brilliant solution to the modern uncomfortable position of rising. For such a cheap price, I now have an upright position for my cycle to town. That reduces pressure on my wrists and make the saddle more evenly spread in weight. Look very smart too. Easy to fit and measurements correct. Appear good quality and lightweight.

I was getting elbow pain on my daily commute, using flat straight bars. I wanted something a little more ‘Netherlands city bike’ Easy to fit, super lightweight and I’m now comfortable on my daily ride

These are very well made bars. The shape is what some people call "townie" not extreme moustache, but just like roadster bars from my youth. I bought them to replace flat bars on my 12 yr old Carrera Subway 2, which have given me wrist ache recently. They were a simple swap, all the hardware fitted the new bars. The new shape raises the hand position a little and gives a more upright riding position, but the stem spacers can easily be swapped around to lower the handlebar height if required.

I put the haddlebars onto my Czrrera croxsfire 2 , I found it easier to cycle uphill because now its easier to stand up on the bicycle while pedalling, I can deliver more power to the back wheel when stranding. They are much more comfotable than the handlebars that came with the bicycle.
