Heal Faster with Advanced Wound Protection!
These Band-Aid Brand Extra Large Hydrocolloid Bandages are phenomenal for serious wound care – they truly live up to the promise of helping wounds heal better and faster. I bought them because I had a big scrape on my forearm (about 2 inches across) from a biking accident. Regular bandages weren’t cutting it; they’d soak through or fall off, and the wound was drying out and cracking. A friend recommended hydrocolloid bandages, so I gave these a shot. Each bandage is quite sizeable (extra large covers about 3 inches by 4 inches area) – perfect for my scrape. They are a sort of thick, flexible patch with a gel-like pad. You apply it over the wound, and it completely seals it off from the outside environment. I mean, completely waterproof and airtight. Once I smoothed it down, I could shower with it and no water got in. It also sticks amazingly well. I left the first one on for three full days. It didn’t budge at the edges at all, despite me moving my arm a lot, getting it wet in the shower, and even accidentally grazing it against things. No rolling up or peeling – it was like a second skin. Inside, the magic was happening: the hydrocolloid created a moist environment under the bandage that is ideal for healing. When I finally removed the bandage (which, by the way, you should do by stretching it along the skin to release – it came off pretty painlessly that way), the difference was striking. The scrape was no longer an open, raw red mess; it had softened and new skin was already covering much of it. The bandage had turned kind of white and puffed where it absorbed the wound fluids, which shows it was doing its job. And importantly – zero infection, and the wound looked clean and much smaller. I used a second bandage for another two days to continue the healing process. By the end of that, the wound was essentially closed and just pink with new skin. I am convinced that using these hydrocolloid bandages prevented a possible infection and definitely minimized scarring. In the past, my scrapes would scab and scar more. This time, keeping it moist under these bandages made it heal beautifully with less scarring. Also, because the bandage cushioned the area, I didn’t feel pain every time something brushed against the wound. It’s like it absorbs the shock. These have become my go-to for any sizable injuries now (cuts, blisters, etc.). The only minor thing to be careful about is not to use them on an actively infected wound (they’re not meant for that) and to make sure the skin around is dry when you apply so it sticks well. They are a bit pricier per bandage, but considering I only needed two to handle what would’ve taken a dozen regular bandages, it’s worth it. Band-Aid’s Hydrocolloid Bandages get a full 5 stars from me for making healing so much easier and cleaner.

Heals, protects and does exactly what it claims great product. I will buy them again.
These are great band aids that stay 2-3 days . They did not get wet underneath. The wound was almost healed. I think the medicine made it healed much quicker with no signs of infection..

Worth It
These bandages are excellent for minor cuts and scrapes. The hydrocolloid gel pad creates a moist healing environment, which helps wounds heal faster and with less scarring. They’re waterproof, stay in place even after washing hands or showering, and feel comfortable on the skin. The adhesive is strong but gentle, so they don’t irritate. Genius idea, and I wish I had these sooner!

Use often.
I am allergic to adhesive and can only use paper and pro heal. Pro Heal does not cause a reaction on my skin and closes my sores.

Best Band Aid since 1921!
This Band Aids are miraculous! I serrated a finger knuckle using a Japanese saw recently and thank God I had purchased these bandaids. I wrapped one around my finger that was bleeding and painful and I kept working on my project. It stop the bleeding and the pain immediately. At the end of the day, I replaced it with a new one and at the end of the second day the laceration was healed. A scab was in place. No pain, no infection. I am using them for every cut or bruise since then.

Awesome, Next Generation of Bandages
The band aid is super sticky and holds well. You are supposed to leave it on for a few days to let the wound heal. I had to take mine off after a day because it felt awkward to leave it on. I felt like I couldn’t wash my hands properly. This is pricey for a few bandaids but since it sticks well and is guarantees to promote wound healing, I think it’s worth it to buy a box. It’s better than smearing Aquaphor on a wound and putting a regular band aid on it. This helps heal things a little faster.

Worth it to help your open wound heal
I got burned by a huge cast iron square skillet and then ripped the top layer of skin off. The wound was open for days and a large, awkward size. This bandaid just barely covered the area needed. My friends noted that it looked like a nice bandaid. I would forget I had it on. I went swimming in the pool and the river and had no leakage whatsoever. The first few days, when my wound was still fresh, I could see the bandaid pad swelling up because it was absorbing the pus from my wound. It was pretty gross, but the bandaid kept it contained. I changed my bandage once a day. The only issue was that after a week of wearing the same bandage almost constantly, my skin started to hurt from where the glue was on my skin. Luckily by this point, I was ready to wear two smaller bandaids without the special pad. I know the cost of these is high, but the Amazon price is better than the drugstore price and the quality and performance of this bandaid is worth it if you have an open wound you really don't want to scar. My skin is still healing, so I can't say for sure I won't scar at all, but the wound closed beautifully.

Very Well Thought Out...
I bought these with a certain purpose in mind; and whereas they wouldn't work for that purpose, they were exactly as described and of a good quality. The gel is kept moist by being covered with a thin plastic liner that is peeled away when the bandage is applied. The adhesive adhered to my skin but did no damage when removed. Overall a good product.
