MaxiSoft® fabrics are produced with extremely low chemical levels that are well within the safety standards for producing Babies PJs Unlike synthetics, cotton does not melt away from a flame to form a hole, nor does it form a hot sticky residue which can adhere to the skin of the wearer causing burn injury When flame comes into contact with MaxiSoft® FR cotton, an insulating char is formed and there is no melting, dripping, smoldering or after glow. This fabric is Interlock (double knit)- not Jersey (single knit). Being a double knit, it gives a far higher level of protection due to the air buffer created by the knit construction. This fabric lends itself to your comfort with the stretch & recovery of our finished product. All Flamesafe® MaxiSoft® garments are pre-washed hot & tumble dried to eliminate shrinkage.
