I'm no sprinkle connoisseur but as a mom of two toddlers I've gone thru my fair share of sprinkle bottles and this one is by far my favorite! The sweetness level is perfect (I don't have much of a sweet tooth) and I use this to give my morning coffee a little whimsy. Sounds silly I know but there's something about starting my morning off with rainbows and color that sets a positive tone for the day. The vibrant color of these are wonderful. Compared to other star sprinkles I've tried, these are slightly bigger in size which makes them perfect for baking. The texture is smooth and the points of the star aren't sharp so you don't have to worry about your littles cutting their mouth. And you can't really tell by the photos but the bottle is a nice size. I use a small amount almost every morning and it lasts me almost a month! Enjoy these!

Why did you pick this product vs others?: These worked great for a some gourmet hot chocolate mix I made for Christmas gifts. Very pretty and I was happy they were gluten free - since we have many gluten allergies with our family and friends. The ball themselves don't have much flavor - just a lovely edible decoration. My one complaint is that they were like little jaw breakers. I was concerned it would be a choking hazard for young kids. Since I was using it in a hot chocolate mix, where they would be dissolved eventually in hot water, I wasn't too concerned - but I would be hesitant to place these on cupcake or other bake goods. You may want to consider doing the silver Sixlets candies that have chocolate in them instead, if you are worried about the choking hazard.

I should have read other reviews before ordering these. While they made my cupcakes look very cute, these sprinkles are very hard. I was hoping they would be soft, like the confetti sprinkles my local bakery uses. I bit down into a cupcake not expecting it, and very surprised. I have composite work done on a tooth, and actually thought I had chipped it. I will not be using the rest of these.
