Made burns feel better, soothing.

This is a thick aloe jelly and feels very cooling. I actually used it to get some medical tape adhesive residue off my skin and it felt nice and I managed to get all the residue off after a couple applications.

OK, these are not great big tubes of aloe, so they'll take up less room in a beach bag, but at 4 ounces, they're too big to carry through TSA, and will have to go in a checked bag. I don't have a sunburn at the moment, but tried a bit on a slightly itchy spot and couldn't feel much effect. It didn't even give the cooling sensation aloe often has. It also left a sort of greasy feel, so I guess it may help some if used on dry skin. It's made in the USA, but I don't believe I'll be buying more of this particular aloe gel. .

This has been my go to sunburn jelly for a while now. The bottles are pretty nicely sized and the gel comes out in a nice amount. The gel is blue and it provides a nice cooling sensation to the skin and helps with itch. It isn't sticky and absorbs well with a pleasant scent. Since you get two, you can keep one in a bag and have one at home in case you get a burn when you aren't expecting one. Overall, this is a nice aloe vera gel for sunburns.

I really love putting these tubes into the refrigerator and then applying on my skin after being in the sun all day. It's nice to feel icy cool in the summer and having something that keeps my skin happy is the cherry on top. The only thing I really dislike is that Blue 1 is one of the listed ingredients. Any numbered dye has been implicated in a number of negative health impacts. Usually this occurs when you eat foods with dyes in them, but your skin can also absorb some ingredients so it's not really appealing to me to have the dye directly on my skin when I am trying to HEAL from skin damage. Thankfully I don't notice my skin turning blue or anything, but for aesthetic reasons why not just color the tubes blue instead?

This aloe vera gel comes in two nice colorful containers. It seems comparable to other gels I've used in the past. It feels cool and spreads nicely when applied to skin. It doesn't leave an overly sticky residue. I've not yet used this on a sunburn, as that season is a few months away in this locale. However, it did provide relief for a mild allergic reaction. As I've used used aloe vera in the past with success, I feel confident this product will work fine (although it's the type you have as an insurance policy of sorts, as you don't want to have to use it). All in all, I'm pleased with this gel. Should my experience with it change in the future, the review will be updated.
