Bristan QST BSM C Chrome Plated Quest Bath Shower Mixer

I bought this set to replace a basic bath tap mixer which had seized up completely. The quality of these Bristan taps in comparison is obvious, and the 1/4 turn handles make the taps themselves very easy to use. The only quibble I have is that the shower hose supplied with the taps has a very narrow bore, meaning that if you have a low pressure system (I have a gravity fed system which I measured at about 10 litres per minute) then you may end up with weak shower pressure when using the diverter on the taps. I remedied this by buying an 11mm bore shower hose replacement and a triton 3 way shower head that I had from an old shower. Now the pressure is amazing, it's about twice what it was using the hose and shower head that came with the taps - now it's almost as good as the pumped electric shower I used before. I have only had the taps a week so can't comment on the longevity of the diverter switch, but the 5 year guarantee gives peace of mind. I will buy these again if needed around the house.

This is a very stylish, well-constructed and easy to use bath/shower mixer. The shower function is surprisingly powerful and the whole thing looks very stylish. we bought these to match a basin mixer tap which we had installed previously and were very pleased with the performance of - the fact that we bought it on offer at a third of the original price was the icing on the cake!

Real quality product. The back nuts are brass and not plastic like a lot of cheaper taps. Easy to follow instructions for fitting. My only gripe is that the shower head holder supplied sits some distance off the wall when fixed, which is ideal if using above the taps as a shower, but not so good if you want it to just hold the head adjacent to the taps. As a result I had to purchase another holder to do that job. Overall a recommended product at the best price, including postage, which I could find on the Internet.

Great Bath tap

Bought this and the matching basin taps to replace some elderly acrylic taps in the bathroom in our new house and they are fantastic. They have completely transformed the look of the room and are very solid and stylish. The plumber rated them as a top brand. The operation is a very easy quarter turn so they would be ideal for anyone arthritic or disabled who has problems turning taps.

Nothing to dislike about this product. Plummer had no problem fitting, looks very smart and easy to use. Just as good as the thermostatically controlled one it replaced. Would definately recommend this product. I did a lot of research on line for a bath mixer tap and am glad I chose this one.

This product is horrible as the centre where uou pull up to put onto shower is so stiff I have had to use pliers to try pull it up. And also I have to tighten this up too as is loose and does not stay thighend.. I have had the diverted valve replaced and it is still the same .. now need to replace this as I need a pair or pliers to try put up the valve to use the shower

I bought this style of taps for bath/shower, basin and kitchen sink. They work superbly and look marvellous. I find them comfortable to use and easy to keep clean in a hard water area. Lever taps with a quarter turn are much easier to operate than standard taps and with this design there is nothing sharp or pointed to catch yourself on.
