This is an awesome terracotta product. The picture makes it look small, but it is very big and spacious. Before I bought this product, I had my garlic sitting on a shelf in the pantry and it made my pantry stink. After I put my garlic in the terracotta garlic keeper and stored it in my pantry, there is now no smell. To me this product is worth the money I paid for it.

Gives gorgeous, old school, country kitchen feel, while keeping garlic bulbs in good condition over a few weeks! High recommend

When I accidentally dropped and broke my 15 year old garlic keeper, I thought 'no big deal, I'll just get another one'. Ha! No easy task; I wanted one that was unglazed ceramic, with ventilation openings and a lid, and was substantially made, like my old one. First issue, all the kitchen supply stores that had been in my area had closed down, and the only keepers I could find in my local supermarket were oddly-shaped and glazed ceramic. So I turned to my usual online sources, but a lot of what I found were cheaply or badly made Chinese imports. They were relatively inexpensive, but looked flimsy with thin walls and a general "unfinished" look. Then I went on Amazon: huge selection, but many of the same Chinese junk offerings. Except for one; the Henry Watson terracotta unglazed garlic keeper from England. Expensive, I thought, but just what I wanted. I could not be more pleased with it since it arrived. Well made, substantial wall thickness, wide opening with a nice-fitting lid, looks nice on my counter (even though not stylized with handles like my old one). I don't even mind the red terracotta color; looks earthy and purposeful. It arrived well packed to avoid breakage in shipping. Worth the higher price, in my opinion. I'll try not to drop it.

Well made and exactly what my wife wanted. I never knew that garlic keepers were a thing but since we got this one I receive instruction about its value with some regularity.

Beautiful when new but it gets smudged up fingerprints all over it. Terra Cotta is porous, it's normal for it to be absorbant, why it keeps the garlic dry and cool. BUT those finger smudged oils etc don't wash off at all, even in the dishwasher. I wish the outside was glazed leaving the inside natural Terra Cotta

Not sure why this works so much better than other things I have used to store garlic, but it does. Must be a combination of the right amount of dark and airflow. A tad expensive for simple unfinished terracotta pot, but it works and it’s also not made in China, so I don’t mind paying a little extra.
