Geekworm Raspberry Pi 5 UPS (X1202), 4-Cell 18650 UPS (Max 5.1V 5A Output) with Wide 6-18V Input | Auto Power On | Safe Shutdown | Power Loss Detection

Have done extensive testing with my RPI5. I needed a system that would allow the RPI to function when connected to an unstable 12 source. I contacted them regarding what I thought was a product defect. They were very response inspite of not being able to help. However it turns out it was NOT their hardware at fault, but our UPS management software. So all good! Excellent hardware which you can configure to auto-shut down the RPI when AC power is removed (this was important for our project)

Works well , documentation is a bit minimal , but the provided python examples are enough to build a machine which can safely shut down with power loss , and start when power returns. Battery state can be queried , so custom shutdown is easy if you are okay with programming. Would have been nice to have a hardware based shutdown as well ( i.e. a critical state to safely shutdown if the python script isn’t running )

Encantado con la compra. Fácil de instalar y configurar y hace justo lo que uno necesita. Permite instalar cualquier hat.

Tout est bien conçu dans ce produit. L'intégration avec le Raspberry est parfaite. Pour info, avec des batteries Panasonic NCR18650B de 3300 mAh, le Pi a tenu 13h, sans activité particulière. Quand à la recherche il a fallu 2h40 pour arriver à 101.7% (!) avec une stabilisation à 99% 2 heures plus tard. En fait je m'attendais à plus d'autonomie. Je me demande si l'UPS lui-même n'est pas consommateur. En effet en mesurant la puissance totale consommée par le Pi au repos, j'arrive à 2.1W, ce qui fait 27 Wh sur les 13h. Alors que la capacité totale de mes 4 batteries est censée être de 47 Wh (4 x 3.7 V x 3.3 Ah). Or

Ich hatte die x728 für meine Pi 4, aber es gab sehr viele Probleme mit Autostart und vor allem mit der Ausschaltung der HAT selbst via PIN26 nach der Auschaltung der Pi. Diese x1202 ist einwandfrei. Die POGO Pins sind empfindlich, zuerst funktionierte die HAT nicht. Man darf die Schrauben nicht zu stark festziehen, das ist der Trick. Automatisches Einschalten funktioniert tadellos, und die HAT schaltet wirklich nach 3 Sekunden aus, wenn man die Pi 5 runterfahren lässt. Mit OS SSD via USB 3.0 Port der Pi gibt es das Problem, dass egal, was man macht, Ausschalten bedeutet Unexpected Power Loss und der SMART Zähler wird erhöht um eins. Mit Pi 5 benutze ich eine NVME PCI-E HAT, und sowas passiert nicht mehr. So, alles in einem, die Kombination von Pi 5, Geekworm X1202 UPS, Geekworm X1001 PCIe auf M.2 NVMe Key-M SSD HAT, Geekworm X1202-C1 Metallgehäuse, in meinem Fall mit WD Red SN700 SSD und Samsung INR18650-35E Akkus ist unschlagbar als ein Server im Dauerlauf.

Great device! I have 3 of them. Working very well. The enclosure is perfect as well. Room for a hat or two too.
