In an effort to eat healthier, I have been making salads for lunch with chopped fruits and vegetables. Prior to purchasing this chopper, cutting up fruits and vegetables was a laborious, time-consuming task, making me less inclined to make healthy lunch salads, especially when pressed for time. This chopper makes the task a breeze! Another task I used to dread was chopping onions for recipes. This chopper also chops onions quickly and efficiently. This is my new favorite kitchen gadget and it really makes my life easier!

This would get a 5 star from me except my husband and I have both been brutally sliced by the blades. I think the product works great, chops in a jiffy with minimal effort. However, while trying to unattach the small blades square I touched the blade (not pushed on or messed with, literally barely touched) and sliced my finger open. My husband had done the same thing on the last use. The Caution writing is the same color as the unit so not easily seen. We love the functionality of this, but given how difficult the unit is to clean we have to run it through the dishwasher and worry our kids will slice their hands if they handle it. It would have been ideal for there to be greater safety considerations put into fool-proofing around the blades, even the storage of them doesn’t seem safe and well thought out. Simple plastic sheets to cover them could have done wonders. If you have kids who do the dishes, be sure to take time to familiarize yourself and educate those using the unit.

Buy it. This whopper chopper is real. It saves time. Cleaning is not difficult. The base is ample enough. The blades are sharp. I was shocked that with one pass, each vegetable was chopped.

Only had it a couple weeks, so I can’t speak to the durability. But this has made chopping produce much easier.

Good. Hard to clean with the brush. After a few uses the blades get dull and it’s hard to chop thicker things as easily.

I saw someone on Facebook using this. There are many attachments you can choose. The different plates that can be inserted and removed to accommodate whichever size you need for your desired dinner, are extremely sharp. I was able to slice a whole bag of potatoes without any resistance. The entire thing can be immersed into water for easy cleaning or is dishwasher safe.
