Nice fan but is a little loud at times!
Makes more noise than I had hoped for but circulates the air well across the room!

Bought two, both loud, broken, difficult and expensive return process
The first arrived in a completely torn up box and the fan itself was damaged physically but also made a loud humming noise. Air also only flowed from a portion of the open vent led areas. I had hopes that a new, un damaged version would work well. The replaced item came nicely packaged and appeared un damaged. It was great for 2-3 days and then out of the blue that loud clunking noise of the blades of the fan began. It is simply too loud to bear. I’ve taken it a part and put it horizontal and upright as a tower and the noise continues. It sounds clunky and loud disruptive… people I speak with on the phone can even hear it. Big bummer for what I thought was a high-quality brand. Returning the second item… but the nail in the coffin is that the company has limited return options so I’ve had to purchase an expensive new box to ship it back (this is not a typically sized item!) so I’m negative money and out a fan and spent a lot of time trying to just get this to work in the midst of a brutal heat wave :-( If it were not such an expensive product I would not be so adamant but this is too much money to spend on a product and not have it do its intended purpose and perform so poorly.

Moves a lot of air quietly
This fan moves a lot of air, and it does it surprisingly quietly. I also like that it can be mounted horizontally, allowing me to mount it up out of the way on a wall and cover a large area. It doesn't oscillate, but that didn't matter to me.

Moves enough air but for the price it's too loud
Been using for about a month and a half now. Noisy noisy noisy. It moves enough air but the thing is loud. I don't mean the air it's moving is loud. The blades themselves are making a ruckus and it's obnoxious. It's been like this since I've had it out of the box. Nothing I can see immediately without taking the thing apart is making the noise. Easy enough to use though. and the remote is nice since the touch buttons on the front don't like my finger.

Participation trophy worthy.
It works but is incredibly noisy. It just rattles like crazy on every power level and none of them really blow very hard. It's on high and I can't feel any air movement from about 3 feet away. And the magnets that hold the base together aren't very strong either.

Worthless as a fan, which is a bad thing for a fan to be
This is a very noisy fan, and not in a good way. It squeaks and rattles intermittently making it worthless as a white noise. The airflow is horrible. You pretty much have to be right next to it to feel any airflow. I have a six inch fan that moves so much more air. Unfortunately I'm getting around to doing something about it just after my return window, so this thing is going in the trash, it's that bad.

Also a great Fan
Great fan that works on laying on its side meant for smaller rooms but also good for a small living room. Would wish it could go a higher speed though.

I like the engineering and flexibility.
I'm a fan of the DC motor tower fans and I have 3 in my living room. They are quiet, effective, and I have them set up so that the air in the room basically moves in a circle. I still get a pocket of warm air forming above the entertainment area. That is where this Vornado Airbar 6 comes in. They have a smaller version of this but this is the big boy at 44" ... and bigger usually means quieter. I was able to put this right behind my TV and push the air up the wall and blast that warm pocket right off the ceiling. It worked great. I love how you can rotate the barrel frame so that the air can be aimed just where I want it. The only drawbacks were that it is not a brushless motor, in fact one of the brushes has a little tick tick tick to it... it's either a brush or a bearing ... it's slightly annoying but not too bad. Remember how on your old PC you used to hear it accessing the hard drive all the time ? yeah, it sounds like that. I guess I should have packed the whole thing up and shipped it back to Vornado but that sucker is big and I didn't save any of the packing material. I was hoping that if it was a brush it would smooth itself out after a while but that hasn't happened and it's been about 6 months now. I figure it's a new product and maybe they haven't gotten all the QC set in place yet. Anyway, I don't use it constantly so I'm trying to live with it. It was disappointing.
