Nutricost N-Acetyl L-Tyrosine (NALT) 350mg, 120 Capsules - Gluten Free, Non-GMO

Used this product to supplement with my ADHD medicine, Focalin. The supplement is quite stimulating if you aren’t used to stimulants or similarly-acting medicines. Tolerance does occur some with this, but I do think you have to be careful with your first couple doses because it can give you some anxiety. Also, when the supplement wears off, you may get a small rebound of the munchies from lowered blood sugar. This is a great alternative to Rx medications if you’re not a fan of those. Be careful when mixing with caffeinated beverages. If you take this product and workout close to when you take the capsules, beware that you might have some heart palpitations, headache, and some mild hot flashes and even chest pain if you take them right before doing intense, physical exercise. Just be mindful of what time you are taking them especially if you are prone to hypertension, anxiety, and insomnia. May cut your appetite slightly, but not nearly as much as Rx meds or other stimulants would do. Overall, a helpful supplement for focus, mood, energy, clarity of thoughts and improved my motivation, ability to study, motivation to do activities, and improved my sexual health (libido) quite a bit! A very decent supplement that is worth the money to try at least once! Highly recommend it if you struggle with fatigue, depression, lack of motivation, difficulty concentrating for work or classes, etc.!

I believe my dopamine levels have been damaged or depleted from long term past use of a sleeper medication and anxiety benzo. I am now on adhd medication and the medication is known to reduce dopamine once it wears off. My dopamine levels are challenged enough. This type of tyrosine is supposed to restore and support dopamine, so I take it with my meds in the morning. Its been about a month, and I think it actually helps. In the past, I had tried regular l-tyrosine by itself for many months, but i don't believe it did anything for me. This does. Thank you. Update: Word of caution to anyone who has ever had HYPO thyroid. L-tyrosine can cause thyroid to act up. Recent blood test showed my thyroid levels are way off, which has raised my cholesterol which in turn has given me heart concerns like feeling like my heart is on fire and jugular distention. I will discontinue use until resolved.

I've been using NALT to combine with Adderall supplementation a few times a week, really helps upregulate your dopamine receptors... but please do not take this every day. As with anything that causes excessive dopamine, even like adderall... it comes with oxidative stress in the brain. Too MUCH NALT WILL CAUSE neck stiffness and POTENTIAL headaches, which can easily be fixed by supplementing MAGNESIUM ACETYL TAURATE 700MG. This is not medical advice, just what I did. Please supplement MAG if you plan to take NALT. NALT is fine in moderation, just listen to your brain/body and don't over use. ANYWAYS THIS BRAND'S NALT IS GREAT, 500mg was TOO MUCH for me as a man. 350mg was just the right kick for what I need that doesn't cause too many headaches, this brand is SMART while staying super affordable unlike many others. This actually does seem to help me focus. I can't take ADHD meds due to health concerns so I was looking for alternatives. I certainly feel like I am able to get more done at work. Could be placebo but if there's a noticeable change, who cares what the technical reason is?

Emptied a capsule in my coffee every morning and after about a week I noticed better morning energy. Took it alongside P-5-P and my libido went through the roof.

If you're ever feeling stressed then this is a great supplement to help mellow out your mood and help you focus just a little bit more. It's actually a really great combo to pair it with some form of caffeine. It gives you a very SMOOTH type of energy that's really nice to work with. Unfortunately I can't consume caffeine very much any more because my body has built up a bad intolerance to it sadly.

I had wanted to try NALT to see if it could help with brain fog/memory, and as an alternative to stimulant medication. I've tried L-tyrosine in the past, which seemed somewhat effective, but NALT was recommended by others. I took this on an empty stomach. Unfortunately it gave me a headache that made my vision fuzzy and some chest tightness. I didn't notice any benefit to my memory/concentration/focus. The side effects resolved after about 3 hours but I don't foresee me being able to use this on work days 😅

I really believe this product makes a very noticeable difference. I mainly feel much more motivated and ambitious. Probably an increase in overall mood as well.
