I am writing this after testing 4 different OLED panels.
As of 3/18/26, in my opinion, this LG panel is the best OLED monitor you can buy in this price range. I purchased this monitor on a sale, so prices might differ. The panel offers the smoothest video you can find in this price range monitor. Colors are very nice and close to real (needs some tuning and adjustment). What made me like this panel over the other 3 (2 ASUS, another LG) was its color, brightness, and its newer OLED technology. Colors are very alive and deep right out of the box; with some tuning, you can adjust it very close to what you see every day on your iPhone (iPhone user here, eyes are trained for that screen). Brightness was another winning point. Comparing to the other 3 panels that I tried, this panel offers the best lighting. With other panels, what I noticed was that they get either too bright or too dim. This would really bother me playing battle royale games, constantly changing zones from dark to bright. Regardless of the adjustments, my screen would be either too bright that it would hurt eyes, or too dim, which would bother you and distract you from gameplay to mess with monitor brightness settings. However, this panel does not have any of those issues. It offers very balanced lighting regardless of how quickly the lighting changes from dark to bright. Performance-wise, this monitor shows picture in fast-action games with 0 blurring. I own an RTX 4070, and Apex Legends is my benchmark for performance since I have played this game for a long time. I benchmark hardware in this game because I am used to all the values and metrics in this game. Regardless of how fast you turn and move the screen, you will not see any blurring or delay for pixels refreshing. 280 strong hertz are packed in this panel. The other reason I chose this monitor was its OLED care system. I heard that due to its newer technology it has a lower risk of getting OLED burn issues; however, it does the OLED care job very well by itself. Every time you shut down the PC, the monitor goes into a screen cleaning mode to maintain the pixels. Every time you turn on the PC, the monitor shows you a message that OLED screen cleaning happened and it was successful, so no need for manually going through settings and activating OLED screen care like ASUS monitors. It has an RGB light in the back, which I do not really care for. It is very basic and simple, does not have any special effects or anything—just breathe, rainbow, and a few solid colors. The only good thing I like about the RGB is that it signals you when the monitor is doing its OLED self-care screen cleaning by doing a rainbow animation thing. So far, durable. Been using it for a few months now, and without doing any manual screen cleaning, I do not have any screen burn. I have Wallpaper Engine on my PC, so I have animated wallpapers that always change + my taskbar goes hidden. The panel is surprisingly thin and lightweight. Coming from a curved monitor, I was not expecting the panel to be this thin and this lightweight! I had to readjust the spring on my monitor arm; if not, it would shoot the monitor into the ceiling lol! I did not upload any pictures, because what you see on your device is never the same as what you will see on the actual screen.

This thing is beautiful but HUGE!!!
Omg this thing is humongous! The screen looks amazing and the curve in envelopes you. This monitor paired with my Tobii eye and head tracker are an amazing pair in my opinion a better option than VR once you get it tuned into your play style. The base is heavier than the monitor so it is extremely stable and won’t be going anywhere when you might bump into it or anything. All around great the hight adjustment is extremely smooth but it is a little difficult to get it to stay exactly where you want it without resetting it and trying to get the exact spot again. The refresh rate and response time are top tier as well so very little flickering and stuttering if at all. I got it on sale for $800ish and I feel like I stole it at that price. All around 5 stars!

Acer Nitro 5 Laptop and LG 34 OLED curved Monitor do not play well together
The reason for this 1 star is the frustration this OLED monitor caused me yesterday. I bought this LG 34-inch Ultragear OLED Curved Gaming Monitor for my daughter's birthday. She has an Acer Nitro 5 laptop with Windows 11. It has a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 Ti GPU with one HDMI port. She was using another LG 27 UltraGear Gaming Monitor with this Acer laptop. It was working fine! But she was able to convince me she needed an OLED one : ) My problem is this new LG OLED monitor does NOT work with her Acer Nitro 5 laptop. It has been a puzzle for me why it doesn't work. Believe me, I have tried everything I could think of. Here are the facts: 1- This new LG OLED monitor (same HDMI cable) works with another Acer laptop but with Win 10 and older NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti video card 2- This new LG OLED monitor (same HDMI cable) works with a third Acer laptop with Win 11 and integrated graphics card (Intel) 3- As I said earlier my daughter's Nitro 5 works with a LG 27 monitor (non OLED) using the same HDMI cable that comes with LG 34 OLED 4- I have reinstalled Win 11 in the Nitro 5 and the same thing: LG 27 works but new LG 34 OLED does NOT work. By work I mean Win 11 would not even recognize the monitor is connected through HDMI cable 5- I have updated NVIDIA driver to latest version and still no luck What puzzles me is both devices are working in my opinion (Nitro 5 and LG 34) but they do not play well together. I even connected the Nitro 5 laptop with our TV and it works as soon as I plug the HDMI cable. And this LG 34 monitor also easily works with other laptops w/o any extra step. Just plug and play! I have contacted LG customer support and they responded to me right away, but they were also not able to help me with this problem. Still not sure if I will return or not because my daughter loved the white color of this monitor.

If you're looking for an OLED monitor don't hesitate on the current sale. Upgraded from an IPS monitor once this was on sale. This new 4th gen OLED is amazing. Very bright, had to set peak brightness to low, as high was making me squint. The HDR is amazing, fast response time, no ghosting. My Christmas gift to myself.

The LG UltraGear 34" Curved OLED Gaming Monitor is an absolute beast — a true game-changer for any serious gamer or content creator. First off, the OLED panel delivers stunning visuals. The colors are incredibly vibrant, blacks are deep and rich, and the contrast is simply unbeatable. Combined with the curved 34-inch ultra-wide screen, the immersion is next-level — whether you're playing fast-paced shooters or diving into cinematic RPGs. I recommend it! The best for gaming.
