The bands are strong and seem to be durable. Much better than a rubber band. They work well keeping my wallet in my pant pocket. It seems there is little chance it will fall out. Great product

I used these bands on my recently purchased Sony 200-600 telephoto lens. Some of the reviews on the lens complained that the telephoto ring would creep while being carried. One professional photographer said he purchased a lens cove for $100 that did a fair job of stopping the lens creep.I put one band on each end of the ring and after walking for a couple of hours with the camera on a Black Rapid shoulder harness the ring hadn’t moved at all. I don’t know how long before they will need to be replaced but at this price it will not be a problem.

These things are great! Most "rubber bands" nowadays deteriorate very quickly -- much more so than I recall from decades ago in my youth. Not sure why that is -- switch from natural to synthetic rubber, maybe? The constant drive for cheapness vs. quality in simple, everyday things? Regardless, regular rubber bands get brittle and break so fast that they are not a viable option for anything but the most temporary, "throwaway" uses. These bands, on the other hand, seem to last for a long time, even if they are under tension all the time. I bought several sizes of these, and I've already pressed almost all of them into service for a very wide variety of tasks, and I'm ready to buy more.

I bought the pack of 5 even though I only needed one to hold a day planner closed . . . OOPS, there now there is only one left. They also fit my water bottle to hold my drink reminder and make it less slippery in hot weather. I will definitely buy them again.

I bought these to see if they could replace rubber bands that I had on two of my bird tube feeders. We live in the land of wind, and when it blasts out of the S or SE, the feeders bounce and the wind takes the seeds and spreads them way far away from the feeding area. I use stakes and bungee cords to anchor them, and the two oldest feeders needed a rubber band so that I could attach the bungees to them. The rubber bands would last a few days before the wind/snow/subzero cold would cause them to snap. These seemed like the perfect replacement, and yes, they work great. I'm thinking of buying some longer ones for the summer because I use a bungee/rubber band system to anchor my hummingbird feeders.
