Perfect fit and good price
I know some people complain about these non-Roland parts not being a perfect fit, but this one was identical to the old one that came out of mine. I don't know what a new Roland part is like as far as softness, but this one was soft enough to get the pedal working again. Also, it was easy to obtain and very cheap. Note that mine came with the brush, but did not come with any grease like many do. I assume they are just using silicone grease of some kind so I just used some that I already had.

Does the job
Great product. Does the job well.

Not really soft
When I bought another a few years ago, the rubber was amazingly soft and I was happy. Now it has been stiffened again and it is hard to play hi hat. This is slightly softer than the current one, but not really good as was a few years ago.
