Bought this early January 2026 so far works great, charging is same as any other charger I have owned. Seems pretty solid, and having 7 ports is great. LED's are as bright as I was hoping but good enough just need to lean over to see them. It's great that each port has a power button. I really don't feel any heat when I touch the unit.

I've been using an external USB optical drive on an old iMac for years. I recently got a new iMac and found that the original drive worked with it, but multiple newer drives did not. I thought it was because I was using the drives' USB-C connectors. With a USB-C to USB-A hub one of the newer drives worked, sort of, but not what I would call WELL. Most drives could not read CDs. They could load CDs, with difficulty, but could not read data from them. Could not play music, import tracks, or even copy raw data. This hub solved the problem. All the drives can now read CDs, DVDs and blue-ray disks over both the USB-A and USB-C connectors on their 2-headed cables. Apparently newer-model iMacs have power limitations on their I/O ports when used for USB-C and the newer optical drives draw more current than my oldest drive. I have not found any way to complain to Apple about that.

Works well with my current PC setup, although the indicator lamps could be brighter or angled toward the user. Provided space saving on my cluttered desktop. I did not have issues with heat after data transfer. Build quality was good. I would buy it again.

Terrible product. The first time I purchased, the device stopped transferring data within 2 weeks. I exchanged the item giving Sabrent the benefit of the doubt in that I received a damaged item. The replacement came and a little more than a year later, it now will not transfer midi data from my keyboards. I've had no issues nor configuration changes in my system setup. I was looking for something reliable to use in my production studio and this is not it. Wish I would have spent twice as much money on something that would have stood the test of time.

Setup wasnt flawless, I had to figure out why the lights were flashing, when I plugged anything in, tried with and without the power supply, different usb-c ports, and it eventually just magically started working as i was googling firmware updates. I didn't do a firmware update but I heard my pc finally make the usb connected sound and was like no wayyyy. Sure enough, it works perfectly after just waiting about an hour. Tried on multiple different computers as well to attempt to rule out the issue. Its been working fine since, I even unplugged and plugged it back in to replicate the issue and potentially return it but I couldnt. Hope its good from now on!

This is my second Sabrent hub. I’ve used the first hub for years so when I needed an additional powered hub with power switches I ordered this hub, and it works great. I highly recommend it. The quality of build is top notch. I highly recommend it.

I like the SABRENT brand - I needed something quick for a VR/recording project and this fit the bill. Powered the extra lighting/recording equipment I needed. Data transfers are great too and the unit doesn't run hot like others I've had in the past. There's no setup really - just plug in what you need. Overall good price for the functionality and it tucks away easily since it's a small profile unit. Great design and looks like it's built to last.

The power adapter I've received with this is the loudest power adapter I've ever encountered. There's a high pitch squealing noise coming out of it at all times. If I don't have headphones on, it's definitely heard at all times. I'm looking for a replacement adapter now, but I find it crazy that I have to do that. However, the hub is really nice, which is why I'm not replacing it outright. The USB-A and USB-C ports with on/off switches really come in handy when wanting to connect a device, but not needing to access those devices at the moment. Speeds are decent, and align with the USB 3.2 Gen 1 specs at 5Gbps, as advertised. I'm getting ~435 MB/s R/W on my NVMe enclosure. As long as super high data transfer speeds is not your goal (and it's not mine), this hub will do the job. All in all, it's a great addition to my setup. It's also pretty solidly built and a pretty good price for what you get. Just wish the power adapter was better.
