Recommended, comfortable goggle with useful lens optit
I bought these to use in open water sessions. Indoors I normally wear prescription swim goggles, but outdoors I wanted a great field of view and would use contact lenses, but also lens options for different conditions. I first tried them in an indoor pool and I found them really comfortable and sealed really well with virtually no fogging. To use outdoors I switched to the yellow lenses, this process is straight forward. The lenses sealed well still and worked a treat. I also love the case it comes with as this keeps them protected from scratches in my bag, but also all the lenses together. I keep some contact lenses in the case too, so I'm never without some. Recommended, but I'd also check they fit your eyes well before committing to using them, as I would any goggles.

Fogged up and a bit flimsy
I was looking forward to trying these - as everything else I have from Huub (wetsuit cap, tow float) have all been 10/10.Unfortunately these fall short in 3 main areas:- constantly fogging up, I have to constantly tread water and wipe the inside of the lenses every 500m or so when I'm swimming in open water- the plastic that goes across the nose and links the two eye parts together is a bit flimsy and needs constant adjustment to clip back in place (never had this problem with ay speedo goggles I've owned)- changing lenses is a bit of a faff, which probably only matters for open water swimmers, but as you'll see from other reviews, it's a delicate balance between changing them successfully and doing irreperable damage.Probably worth looking elsewhere

Superb goggles
Great fit and good deal preventing water ingress, really comfy, sleek and very cool!!Coupled with the fact that they come with three lense types, adjustable nose bridges and a great protective case, these goggles are good value!!

lap pool swim
i never write reviews but i need to put pen to paper so to speak (keyboard) over these goggles i have been competing in the pool since i was 8 yrs old some some 40 years later i have used a lot of so called good goggles but i must say these are outstanding in all areas (1 comfort, 2 visibility , 3 no leaking) and the strap doesnt interfere while wearing a swim cap with the three main qualities you always look for in a swim goggle Huub certainly have done their research and developed these the Huub Altair, they tick all the boxes. they come with three various lenses which are easy to interchange depending what you are swimming in, low light / sun light etc i use the yellow for the pool it makes everything stand out and makes everything clearer especially when you swim in formation hand to toe almost (im sure someone will be able explain the science behind this lense in a pool environment) not tested these out on an ironman as yet but may report back when i compete this year and use these goggles, so far so good, worth the money i can recommend to buy you wont be dissapointed

Great idea but still expensive if they break on a regular basis.
4 months in with my second pair - really disappointed I really want these to work but the head strap snapped the first time and now the rubber on the eye has welded itself to the lense and torn when trying tonhnage the lens. Great concept and for the 4 months have been amazing - I’m sure they’ll arrange a replacement even if I go to Huub direct just a real shame!

Poor quality product with premium price tag
In summary, I'm not particularly impressed with these goggles at all. But, I'll try to go through good and bad.I've owned my HUUB goggles for just over 2 weeks and used them for three one hour sessions.Case: 10/10Styling and colours: 9/10Visibility: 10/10Goggle Quality: 3/10Expected lifespan: less than one year!First impressions: These goggles come in a nice semi-hard nylon case with foam slots for the two spare pairs of lenses that are not in the goggles. The case feels well constructed and what you would expect for a premium product. The goggles themselves look sleek and the colours look great. If you haven't changed the lenses before on these goggles, it is a bit mystifying as to how to swap them with the other pair of supplied lenses. However, as you'll quickly realise with these goggles, as others have pointed out, the materials and paint finishes used on these goggles is flimsy. Even adjusting the rubber head band on the back adjuster is enough to rub the paint away. The silicon eye cup needs to be removed before the lenses can be swapped over. Then the lenses have to be slide out of the frame openings. This just promotes the paint being worn away if you want to change them frequently. On this basis, I can't see these goggles lasting more than a year before they look shabby and worn out.In terms of comfort, these goggles are good. The silicon cups sit on your eye sockets softly without putting too much pressure on them. Visibilty is also really good too.In terms of swimming with them, it was another let down. I found despite a number of attempts to reseat the right eye cup/seal, the right lens was always letting in a couple of droplets of water down the lengths of the pool in a matter of minutes. The left eye was perfect. It meant that every few lengths you needed to drain the right eye of water. Maybe its just a faulty pair of goggles in this regard. The headstrap doesn't seem to retain its adjustment very well. I have tried the suggested method of putting hands between side of head for removal (to reduce any over stretching of the band), but it makes no difference. Its easy to see why, the back adjuster relies purely on friction of the headband itself to hold itself in position, which is made of silicon rubber. Naturally this is quite stretchy and doesn't really grip to itself, so you would find that it needs adjustment maybe every session. Finally, the lenses are good and the instructions suggest which ones are best suited to each of the likely swimming environments. e.g. open water, swimming pool and low-light. The visibility through them is good. However, the lens quality also seems to fail here also. After each swim, I normally rinse the goggles under clean tap water to wash away any chlorine from the swimming pool. Then dab them with my soft drying towel. I gently the rub the inside and outside of the lenses with the towel to clean away any water droplets trapped in the corners. After my third swim, I began to notice one of the lenses (right again!!) is starting to get a bit cloudy on the inside. In conclusion, I wouldn't rely on these goggles for any endurance or competition. I feel that they would let me down.I'm planning to return or replace these on the basis of the above. If only they put as much effort into the goggles as they did the case!
