When I first bought this I was expecting a traditional Mexican copal, this is definitely not that. When I received the box I was turned off by the scent. Instead of returning it I took a gamble and lit one and man am I glad I did. Don't get me wrong, this smells absolutely nothing like copal, however it is now one of my favorite incense. It is beautiful and floral and has a depth to it. The fragrance is natural and complex and lingers for the right amount of time. It also burns slow and the sticks are quite hefty. I noticed some other reviews complain that the incense go out but that is an indication of these being naturally made incense containing no charcoal or toxic sulfur and instead using upcycled flowers, natural resins, honey and oil. A bonus- this product empowers marginalized women hand rolling this incense in India. I've repurchased this product three times. I prefer the white copal to the dragon's blood personally. I will note the package says it contains 35% powdered white copal imported from Mexico, so it's not false advertising in that sense. Compared to the Japanese inscense I also buy, these are quite a good value for burn time and quantity. Namasté

Doesn’t smell like pure copal because it is not 100%. It still smells really good though. Better than the Indian resin that is passed off as Mexican. Cheaper than Mexican copal too. At least here in the US. Whatever is in these sticks sets off my air purifier faster than most incense.

I fell in love with Copal incense more than 25 years ago when I visited Guatemala, so I cannot compare this incense from memory. I have tried many brands that left me dissatisfied. Calmveda's Copal is heavenly. Its soft, extremely pleasant, aromatic fragrance fills my home, endowing it with an indefinable calmness and peace that soothes the soul. I have now tried eight varieties of Calmveda incense, and this is the one I always reach for first, my favorite by far.

I bought this copal incense about a year and a half ago, and the first batch I received was excellent. It smelled like genuine copal — natural, clean, and exactly what I was looking for. I was very happy with that purchase. Unfortunately, the last time I ordered it, the product was completely different. The scent is no longer the natural aroma of copal. Instead, it smells like an artificial fragrance that has been mixed in, and the result is quite unpleasant. It definitely does not smell like 100% natural copal anymore. If the formula or supplier has changed, it would be helpful for the seller to clarify that, because the quality is not the same as before. I loved the original product, but based on this last purchase, I cannot say that what I received is pure copal.

Although this smells really nice, it is not made from copal resin. It is just regular incense.

I use many insencios and I consider this one among the best, pleasant smell, controlled smoke, excellent presentation, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I'll buy it again

Copal is not an easy scent to manifest. This insense is the real deal. You owe yourself the experience of this one.

I’ve burned the actual copal resin on a coal before and really adore the scent! I wanted an incense that was convenient like a stick but still had the copal smell - this does not smell like that. It’s very much like a Nag Champa - classic Indian incense smell but it’s definitely not copal. It doesn’t smell burnt or synthetic, so I don’t care to return it because I can still burn this - but not because I want Copal but Nag Champa. I guess I have to spend extra on those crazy thick sticks for the copal smell and convenience

Grundsätzlich riechen diese Stäbchen gut bis sehr gut. Aber irgendwie auch ein bisschen unnatürlich intensiv. Und weshalb ich sie zurück geschickt habe ist das sie bei mir Übelkeit und Kopfschmerzen ausgelöst haben. Vielleicht sind sie eher für den Außenbereich geeignet als für Innenräume.

Great smell, great energy. Clears your home from negative energy. Good to meditate with. No headaches. Very organic. Will buy again. I burn this in my living room, but I also walk around with it to every bedroom and bathroom to every corner of the house and let the positive energy to take over. Great stuff 10/10

This is not smell of white copal at all. I am very disappointed. I have been waiting for these sticks for so long, they are quite expensive, but I was ready to pay this price for what I expected to receive. But I got chopsticks that smell like ordinary Indian ones in any store.
