Stainless Steel Milk Transport Cans with Strong, Sealed Lid and Optional Spigot (2.6 Gallon)

This can is nicely built. It has a weight to it and by picking it up you can tell immediately it is solid. The latches on top fastens the lid tightly and the handle on top is wide enough to grab and tote around. I did remove the rubber seal on the underside of the lid (comes off with a flat head screwdriver and a little force) and replaced with a food grade high temp silicone gasket. A little pricey for the can but overall I am happy with the purchase and the application I will be using this for. Might even buy another one later on down the road. Might be overkill but adding 2 more latches to round out around the lid would be helpful. The can has 2 which will work but I think 4 evenly spaced would be an improvement to ensure an airtight seal.

Such a shiny happy jug for 5 gallons of my freshly distilled water. It is easy to draw my water for coffee or medication via the nifty spigot. (Yes, some Rx like Levothyroxine require distilled water for maximum effectiveness ). The lid is solid and provides a heavy seal. No bug will ever get into this pot! It is a bit tall on the counter so the oldest housemate can’t raise/empty the heavy gallon pot of distilled water into the jug. I positioned the jug on the countertop with the spigot barely over the edge (to prevent catching clothing on the spigot). This jug is a great tool for hurricane preparedness too.

Looks sexy on my countertop. I use it for water dispensing. You can fill your cup with 1 hand while holding a baby. I fill it up with gallons of spring water. I thought I would have to leave the lid ajar a bit to release the pressure when opening the spout, but all you have to do is just not close the latches on the lid. The lid can still sit on top squarely to keep out the dust and I guess without it tightly closed with the latches, air is able to escape out the edges of the lid. This is solidly built, no leaking issues, just perfect. Water tastes better, too. Maybe that part is just psychological.

I used this as a water bottle that I can fill with ice and water for off road use. I drilled a hole in the top for a relief valve because the can is airtight when sealed and will not freely flow if the lid is latched. Unlatching could allow dust and dirt to enter. A simple cure was to put the relief valve in it and press it to allow air to move inside, (making sure there is no dirt around the valve) while water freely flows out the spigot at the bottom. Relief valve and adapters all found on Amazon. (1/8 NPT fittings, also bought a tap for NPT to thread the hole, however, simply putting another fitting on the other side works as well, to cinch the valve to the top.) I also added the extension adapter to get the intake for the valve up and away from the surface.

We have had this product for less than two years, and it leaks so badly that it is unusable!! We paid 310.00 for it and did not even get two years out of it. We thought we would have it for years!!! Do not buy this product.

I don't like flouride in my water for drinking or cooking or anything really so we have always used a countertop distiller to make our own and we store it in a stainless steel container. Our previous container was getting some age to it and it even got some rust surprisingly so it was time to replace it. This new container is beautiful, heavy, thick and it has a lower center of gravity and much better spout than our last one. So far we love it!

This is a very well made steel can. It's difficult to clean because I have got the 5 gallon size. However it is well made and sturdy. I don't close the lids on the top for water flow as I use it to store spring water and I have tilt the jar when the water hits the bottom. However I still find that the construction and quality of the jar is very good.

I live without running water, and bought this can to carry water from the well into the house. What a great product! It is very well built, and the wide mouth makes it easy to clean. I chose to have the spigot added, and it's a great dispenser (attractive in my kitchen, too!). I also chose the bail handle, which makes it possible for one person to carry. It is rather heavy when it's full, but that's just part of its overall sturdiness.
