I ended up using my Mini Bose speaker and running a wire through the bottom by drilling a small whole. This hides the wire and looks nice when installed. Mounting was easy and overall its pretty sturdy.

These are nice little shelves. I do not use them for speakers, I use them for little knock knacks. My Bluetooth speakers that have TWS have way too much bass and would shake and fall off a wall mounted shelf, I have to keep them on the floor or a table, and keep moving them from the edge. These shelves, they are a great wooden material, with different metal brackets than you normally see. They easily get put together and go up on the wall in under ten minutes. They are a great value for the price, I would recommend them for sure.
