Great value and recordings.
So easy to install and works really well. Zoom quality and night vision are outstanding. Great value and excellent quality. Easy to access through the app. I would recommend these. This is one of FOUR which I now have after buying one to test it out initially. 😉👌

Brilliant cameras
Great quality video. Night vision is good too. Occasionally firmware updates can cause problems so disable auto update and wait for a week or so. Works well with smart things. Local recording on constant loop is much better than relying on motion sensors but the motion detection is actually OK on these. Very small and easy to hide. Needs USB C power but WiFi works well for 2k streaming

Good quality little camera
Great product, easy to set up and use alongside the other cameras I have. Good price, nice image even in the dark. Connectivity took a couple of goes but once I had got closer to the router was easy. Good options for motion detection. Love it.

Freed from Ring
I’m another long term Ring customer moving away from the company due to their subscription costs. A direct comparison isn’t really fair, as I’ll explain, so I’ll review this camera for what it is - but I will also make some comparisons to the Ring camera it is replacing. I picked this camera up for less than £30. It is replacing a Ring Stick Up Cam Elite that cost £180 (although I paid £120 on offer). Out of the box, the C120 is a compact little thing, not too light, but not heavy either. Setup was easy…well, eventually. Although this is an outdoor capable camera, I am only using it indoors. It doesn’t really strike me as sturdy enough for prolonged outdoor use but I can’t really comment on that. Bad Stuff I’ll get the bad stuff out the way first..The main reason I’ve deducted one star is to do with the power cable. I’d read other reviews that mentioned problems with this so I wasn’t too thrown when it wouldn’t power up. I turned the USB-C head round the other way and then it powered on. But there were still issues as the connection isn’t secure and even without moving the cable at all, it kept dropping the power connection. So I swapped to another cable and all was fine. However, the other cable is sturdy and that exposed the other slight issue. The stand is adjustable in loads of directions. A stiffer, heavier cable forces the camera out of position. Because the camera is quite light, it’s also not that stable in freestanding mode. Better Stuff Just does what you want it to do with little fuss. Setup is easy. The daylight image is decent. Each mode of low light capability is also really good. It has some smart stuff (identification of people, pets etc) but I really won’t have a use for that. Responds fairly quickly to the app. Isn’t dependant on subscription. Comparing to Ring This is largely specific to the Ring camera I have and mentioned above. If you are replacing a Ring camera, some of this might not apply to yours. I actually prefer a lot about the Ring camera. * I like the look and build quality of it more than the Tapo. * The daytime image quality on the Ring is only 1080P but is a more natural image. It is less crisp but has lower blocky artefacts than the Tapo. * The Tapo’s low light performance is far superior though. * The field of view (FOV) is significantly better on the Ring, both horizontally and vertically. Realistically I’d need 2 of this Tapo camera to properly cover the same area that the Ring camera does * The app experience is very similar between the two, responsiveness is similar too. I would have happily stuck with Ring if it weren’t for their subscription greediness. I have a Ring Doorbell Pro too, and paying for subscription for them was now £50 per camera. I bought this Tapo Camera, a Tapo Doorbell Camera, one of their Hubs and a 512gb microSD card for storage for £170, as my Ring Protect was due to renew at £100 soon. So, in less than two years I’ll be saving based on Ring Protect costs alone. I’ll be honest, I was originally a little disappointed in this Tapo camera when comparing it to my 6-year-old Ring camera but the point is that it is perfectly good enough for what I need and frees me from Ring’s inflated subscription costs (which, over 6 years must total a few hundred quid). It is also unfair to directly compare the two cameras. One was £28, the other £120 - yet the difference between them is not that great. Really, the biggest let down is the horizontal FOV, but I could but two of the Tapo and it still not break the bank. Summary This is a perfectly good camera and a bargain at the price. A worth option to free yourself from Ring.

Great quality security camera
Really good quality camera. I use it indoors but to face outdoors. The quality of the pictures especially at night is really good. I've purchased a few and with my recommendation friend have as well. Easy to set up

Great little buy
Using mine outside in the garden. Great coverage. Nice and compact. Quick response when been alerted .Great picture quality for what i require. Great that you can also add memory card rather then subscribe to the monthly subscription. Easy to install and connect to the app. App is easy to use. Very reasonably priced.

RTSP 940nm ir baby monitor
The Tapo C125 is a fantastic option for a RTSP local network baby monitor with 940nm (less red glare). Positive: Inexpensive camera with RTSP, good resolution and 940nm illuminator. Once on boarded in the app and enabling RTSP, it can be blocked from reaching the internet and still works as a local baby monitor, preserving your family's privacy. Good build quality. Negative: you need to install and register with the app at least once. Cloud streaming from tapo times out at 5minites unless there is direct connectivity between camera and phone (not a problem if you plan on using the RTSP functionality). Bulky charger with 9V barrel connector. Conclusion: best overall option I could find for a non-cloud baby monitor that enabled me to monitor my child from the computer when working with headphones.
