You Garden - Strawberry Plants 'Sweet Colossus', 12 Pack of Giant Strawberries, Jumbo Plug Plants, Grow Your Own, King Sized Fruit

I was a gardening correspondent for a quarter of a century so can say from experience that these were excellent plug plants. They were a decent size, moist around a good root system and showing healthy growth. They were potted up the same day and showed the usual tired look of newly planted, virtually bare root plants but the following day had perked up and within a couple of days there were signs of growth. and now three weeks on, two thirds of the plants are in flower and all are in bud. They have been in the greenhouse, kept just frost free, and are growing well with strong root systems and are ready to be hardened off and planted out. I cannot comment on either fruiting or flavour as we have not got that far, but the quality of the plants supplied and the price is excellent and the general opinion of the variety Sweet Colossus among gardening writers is favourable, so all is looking good.

Very well packed and protected. The strawberry plugs was bigger than expected which is a good thing. The plants look nice and healthy with plenty of roots Can not wait to see the end produce . Also very quick delivery I have already planted them into pots, and with this rain that we have had, has even made a difference to them Very good value.

I must be doing it wrong. Apple sized strawberries like in the picture - no. I’d class them as standard strawberry sized strawberries but they were very tasty. Only managed one crop.

Very good value they have strawberries on them now, just waiting to ripen.

Either the plants sent were not giant version or the person in photos in listing had tiny hands as these did not bear much fruit at all & what they did were very small, not even regular strawberry size.

Hi, Arrived quickly. Looks they are healthy and start growing new leaves in few days.

I bought the strawberry plants in middle of June. They arrived well packed. Now after around 2 weeks they are in bloom with multiple flowers. I didn't expect they to bloom this year, as I know strawberries require to be planted in the early spring or late autumn. The plants look healthy and strong. I am looking forward for the strawberries.
