The price difference at this time is significant..** A: I got the Platinum Elite for Christmas. One of my wheels was damaged during the second international trip. We contacted Travelpro about any warranty and were told that we would have to ship the suitcase to one of their approved repair centers to have it evaluated to determine if it would be covered under warranty. Its actually cheaper to buy a replacement wheel than to ship the luggage to them. This is the last piece that I would "buy" from them due their warranty process. **Q: Will this bag fit as carryon in US? It’s listed as 23.5” x 14.5” which is above the 22”x14” limit.** A: I’ve measured the bag myself, and the only area of concern is that it’s 22.5” not the 22” max. It is both maneuverable and solid, and the wheels don't snag or break like they often do on the four-wheel units. I bought this about a year ago and am only writing the review now, to say that I'm just as happy with this suitcase as the day I got it. Also, it's sized to be used as a carry-on on US airlines.
