Tour of Homes protection for oriental rugs
Went against the directions warning against putting this on wool rugs. I placed directly on 100 year old oriental rugs and fuzzy flokati wool rugs. We had over 1,000 people touring our home during a rainy weekend and this worked well to see the rug underneath while protecting from dirty shoes. Next time I will wrap the edges of the rug with non sticky saran wrap/cling wrap first then place this adhesive film. When removing this from the edges it did want to pull on the wool knots where the ends are frayed. If there is an area that has a tear that would pull wool or fiber, I would suggest covering that will saran wrap too. The saran wrap will stick to the adhesive film but not allow it to stick to a delicate area on rug or carpet. Slight learning curve on how to place. 2 people make it go quicker. We placed a few inches onto wood floor and rolled onto rug, lifted up and unrolled about 2 feet while other person smoothes film from middle out to edges. When removing the film roll from edges into center and it sticks to itself while keeping dirt contained. I'll use this again.

Worked great!
We used this to protect the carpet during our move, and it worked great! It stayed in place and removed easily and cleanly when we were done. A couple spots on the stairs had a hole because the dolly caught the edge, but other than that, it held up to the furniture and us. Application was difficult, however. I tried to apply it myself, but it's so sticky, it just kept rolling in on itself when I tried to put it down the stairs. So I enlisted my husband's help, and he was able to pull it straight out so I could stick it in place. Much easier that way! Overall, it met our needs, and I would recommend it.

Garbage
Very hard to work with, equivalent to sticky kitchen wrap. It works okay as long as it doesn’t touch any other other pieces, such as overlapping rows and especially corners! The edges also roll-up and stick together with no way to unstick them. I ended up using the cardboard box for corners. Waste of money!

Great product, but limit use to synthetic carpet
Have used this product twice. Once on synthetic carpet, and once incorrectly, on concrete. I was trying to protect my concrete basement floor from temporary heavy traffic. Should have read up more carefully before doing so. After a week it was very hard to remove from the concrete. Especially in areas where it was weakened by the traffic. The stuff worked great on carpet, but I did leave a small piece way beyond the recommended 45 days max. It came up fine but there was a light mark where it had been. This is not a ding on the product, just a caution to take the directions seriously.

WORKS GREAT - IGNORE NEGATIVE REVIEWS IF YOU'RE UNSURE
Seems to work GREAT for me. I saw some of the reviews stating it doesn’t stick and was admittedly reluctant initially. Here’s the facts. I had new carpeting installed (low pile) less than a week prior. This film arrived fast. I installed this in key areas I wanted. This film STICKS to the carpet and WORKS as intended. It WORKED GREAT. I can pull it up if I want and there is NO residue NOR any other issues of sticking excessively like some complaints I’ve read with of films sold by other manufacturers. It can be pulled off just fine if you need to. INSTALLATION: As with any of these films, it takes just a little practice initially. I laid a 4-6 inch strip down to initialize it sticking sufficiently enough to pull / unwind the roll onto the carpet. I started doing this and had NO PROBLEMS. Yes these films stick to itself (sticky side to sticky side) if you accidentally fold it over onto itself on the edges or elsewhere. I did this once and just had to trim that section off. I made a little misjudgment in positioning and it lifts off the carpet and allows me to reposition it. I can say with certainly that the negative complaints of it not sticking to the carpet were NOT experienced. I think the ONLY issue about all these films is your application technique. Once you lay it down right …. perfect. If I need more, will I buy this again - YES.

Sticky clean
This protector is perfect! Just finished getting my carpet ready for New Year's. Goes down easily and stays down. Ignore the nay sayers complaining about it sticking to itself. Uh...hello people! It's a giant sheet of tape so of course it sticks to itself. You'll get that with ANY product of this type. Just plan ahead and take your time. Someone complained about the edges not sticking but that's not the case. They were likely applying to a dirty floor. Remember, it is a giant sheet of tape so it'll behave as such. When you have finished applying, leave about an inch and fold onto itself so you've got a place to grab when starting again.

Tough and Reliable, But Tricky to Apply Alone
We used this carpet protection film during our recent move, and overall, it was wonderful. It provided excellent coverage and gave us real peace of mind with all the foot traffic from the movers going in and out. Even with a large dog walking across it constantly, it held up impressively—no punctures, no tears. The only challenge was applying it. Doing it solo was definitely tricky—it tends to bunch or stick where you don’t want it to. With two people, though, the process was much smoother and quicker. Once it was down, it stayed put and did exactly what it was supposed to do. Highly recommend for anyone moving or doing renovations, just grab a second set of hands for the application!

First of all I bought this to cover carpets in motorhome on recently holiday with dogs. It was excellent at muddy paw prints, and made getting grass clipping easy to deal with. The application though is a bit tricky, it not only sticks to the carpet it sticks to itself. So wasted a few bits that quickly became unusable. Probably better if two people are involved. But was only me. Got it down, and it did its job. On leaving the site, I lifted and rolled the film up to get the sand, grass clippings etc. Once removed a quick hoover and it was as good as before the holiday. Plenty left for trip away, once I discover a better way of laying.

When I was younger business had dual purpose. To provide a service or product and to make money. We were a more closely nit society where business knew that if they advertised one thing and provided another that they would be out of business. That doesnt happen anymore. This product is a case in point. It advertised heavy duty floor covering. Easy to apply ! It is neither! This product was totally useless in application as it was so old it would barely unroll. It is so thin that it only sticks to itself in a messing conflagration of wrinkles a overlapping. They are right though it is sticky . It was not cheap for saran wrap but totally useless for purpose. I would like my money back. Please
