I have used this brush twice on my two German shepherds. Love the self cleaning feature as fur gets everywhere when brushing with other tools. My double coated long hair dogs fur does escape a little yet it’s still superior to regular brushes. The vacuum brush has less hair escape but doesn’t get as much off her. I hope that the brush will hold up over time.

The Hertzko Self-Cleaning Slicker Brush works great for reducing shedding and gently removing loose hair. This brush WORKS!!! Both my cats absolutely love brushing time. BEFORE: It used to be such a dreaded chore; wrangle the cat, hold them down and try to get whatever brush I had been using to lift the excess fur out of their coats while cat hair was floating away and getting everywhere except in the brush. NOW: I click the brush open they literally come running. Most times they’ll flop over and stretch out and just wait to be brushed. Even when I’m done they’ll nudge the brush with their heads wanting more. Then it’s a simple click of the button and all that fur ejects in a nice bundle to toss. Less hacking hair balls for them and no more Wild West cat fur tumble weeds blowing about for me!! SO thankful for this product!

It is ok, but bought it for a very matting, sensitive golden doodle who isn't crazy about it. Not the brush's fault. Definitely easy to get hair out of brush as stated. Works better on Lab.

I love how you clean it. You push the button and you shoot the hair right onto the garbage. My dog also likes it

We love the design. The metal brush retracts into the brush head with the click of a button. As the brush retracts, dog hair is stripped off the metal comb, cleaning the tines as the hair falls into the trash. This is our second Hertzko dog brush of the same design. Foolproof design. Our original Hertzko brush has lasted almost seven years and is still going strong.

This product is awesome, gets the job done.
